Meet Marilia Moreno

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Marilia Moreno. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Marilia , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

Ever since I was a child, I was shy and a little insecure. I was popular with friends and loved to talk, but if a teacher called my name, I would blush so hard I thought I might faint. This all changed dramatically in college when I began studying advertising and marketing. I had to present alone in front of the class, and soon, I started enjoying it. I became fascinated with the power of television in Brazil and its ability to reach the masses.

From my fear of attention, I began to prove to myself that I could change. I took classes in public speaking, news anchoring, and entertainment. I discovered a passion for talking to cameras and connecting with people. I faced my fear and found I loved it. Soon after, I became a television host. I finished college, pursued an extension in cultural journalism, and became a model. I felt strong and comfortable stepping into a “character” for TV and photos.

This journey changed everything in my life. I believe it was meant to happen.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m Marilia Moreno, and my journey has been anything but linear. Born in São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, I discovered my passion for journalism at a young age. My first job was as an intern, writing articles about lifestyle tips—where to eat, dance, and enjoy the best of São Paulo. This experience ignited my curiosity about storytelling and connecting with people through media.

I earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Advertising and later pursued an extension in Cultural Journalism.Right at that time I started a modeling career , that gave me more and more confidence in my skin. I also took a professional course in radio and TV hosting, which led me to a career as a TV host for Fox Brasil. As my career progressed internationally, I decided to move to Miami and then Los Angeles, where I learned to read teleprompters in English and immerse myself in the American hosting market. Soon after, I began working as a red carpet reporter for Sony Entertainment Television, interviewing celebrities and covering premieres in Hollywood and the world im events like Cannes film festival, and the Oscars. I expanded my skills by doing voice-overs and interpreting for national television.
Nowadays I work with E! Entertainment Television, in the Brazilian and Latin American markets.

As an interpreter, traveled to different places of the world with “miss universe” helping Portuguese speaking girls with English communication through the contest.

During this journey, I experienced a deep spiritual awakening that drew me to various healing modalities. I became a certified Reconnective Healer, Reiki healer, and Ho’oponopono therapist, and I studied numerology, the Mayan calendar, cosmotherapy, quantum physics, and sound healing with Tibetan instruments. Spirituality has become a vital part of my life, and I now devote much of my time to spiritual studies while continuing my media career.

I’ve also ventured into entrepreneurship, launching my own jewelry brand and bikini line, which were passions of mine. Though I’m not actively working on these projects now, I may return to jewelry-making in the future.

I’m currently hosting a new travel show called Journey Within, where I travel the globe, meeting incredible people who have transformed their lives through different forms of wellness—spiritual, social, emotional, and physical. The show is airing on Samsung Plus and Insight TV all over the world, and it’s been such an inspiring journey for me.

Traveling has always been a huge part of my life. As a model and a host, I’ve been fortunate to see so many corners of the world. I’ve always felt that travel activates something deep within us—sometimes it feels like a lost memory from an ancestor, or a hint of a past life. Each destination brings new insights and stories, and I’m constantly reminded how interconnected we all are.

Journey Within is my way of sharing that magic with the world, showing how different cultures and practices can offer powerful paths to healing and self-discovery.

I recently visited the Amazon Rainforest and spent time with Chief Mapu of the Huni Kuin tribe. This experience opened a pathway for purposeful work, supporting projects like his that aim to restore the essence of Brazil’s indigenous people, helping them continue their fight against deforestation and promoting a simpler, more sustainable way of living that respects the planet.
It’s a very fulfilling type of work that touches my soul.
Personally I’m also focused on deepening my understanding of multidimensional therapy and bioenergy, which I believe are powerful tools for personal and collective healing. I’m excited to continue exploring the intersection of media, spirituality, and healing, bringing these worlds together in new and meaningful ways.

I strive to be my authentic self in everything I share on social media. I love giving my followers a glimpse into the healing modalities I practice, offering tips on living a more fulfilling life, and making choices that benefit both themselves and the planet—from mindful grocery shopping to sustainable fashion and conscious living.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, I’d say three things have been most impactful for me: curiosity, resilience, and adaptability.

Curiosity has always been my guide. It’s what made me dive into so many different areas: journalism, TV hosting, modeling, and eventually spiritual healing. I was never afraid to ask questions or explore something new, even if it seemed totally unrelated. So, my advice to anyone just starting out would be: stay curious. Follow what excites you, even if it doesn’t make sense to everyone else. You never know where that curiosity might lead you.

The second I believe is resilience. It has been key in getting through the tough moments. There were plenty of times when things didn’t go as planned, but I learned to keep going and find the lesson in every challenge. For those at the beginning of their journey, I’d say: don’t be afraid of setbacks. They’re not failures; they’re just part of the process. Keep pushing forward, trust your vision, and know that every experience is shaping you into who you’re meant to be.

And also adaptability: this one’s huge! My journey has taken me from Brazil to the U.S., from TV hosting to spiritual healing, and being adaptable has made all the difference. Staying open to new opportunities and being willing to pivot when needed has kept things exciting and allowed me to grow. If you’re just starting out, try to stay flexible and open-minded. The world is always changing, and so are we. Being adaptable will help you ride the waves and stay true to yourself.

So, my advice is to enjoy the ride, stay curious, and keep growing. Your path might surprise you, but that’s the beauty of it all

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

When I feel overwhelmed, I try to create a space where I can reconnect with myself and find calm. For me, meditation is a big part of that. It helps me quiet my mind, focus on my breath, and just be present, even if it’s just for a few minutes. It’s amazing how a few deep breaths can completely shift your state of mind.
I also find a lot of peace in nature, going for a hike, camping, or simply taking a walk outside on the beach close to home, can be so grounding. There’s something incredibly healing about being surrounded by trees, by the oceans, feeling the earth under your feet, and just breathing in fresh air. Nature has a way of bringing me back to balance.

Music is another powerful tool for me. I love listening to songs that calm my soul, whether it’s something soothing or uplifting. I also use my sound healing techniques, which help me release tension and feel more centered.

And then, of course, I do things I love. Whether it’s making jewelry , doing my skincare routine, working out, writing, or simply spending time with people who uplift me, doing what brings me joy is a great way to recharge. Loving myself is crucial, taking time to nurture my body, mind, and spirit, and reminding myself that it’s okay to take breaks and breathe.
