Hi Marina, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?

My persistence comes from the ability I want to have, deep into the future, to be able to say I did it exactly the way I wanted and said what I needed to say. It is important that others don’t shape your journey, just you.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am a country-pop singer/songwriter/producer living in Brooklyn. I just released my second single, Now I Can, and am looking forward to sharing more music with everyone!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

1. Connect with people that you can truly see yourself walking the journey with. The deeper I find myself in the music industry, the more I realize how important it is to have people that are genuine and honest with me, not just simply because of their status/popularity.
2. Write the songs you want to write. People are always willing to hear a new perspective and it is important that we share our individual truths. There is only one you!
3. I was once told by a professor that the only people that don’t make it in the industry are the people that quit. As long as you keep your head held high, even while battered and bruised, you will find some success.

I am always looking for new people to create music with. I love co-writing and producing with others!
