Meet Mario Lanzarotti

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mario Lanzarotti a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Mario, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

My resilience comes from a deep desire to serve others and help them live more fulfilling and happy lives. I’m driven by a profound sense of purpose, rooted in my faith and the belief that I’m called to be a light in this world. This sense of purpose is further fueled by the love and support I’ve received throughout my life, starting with my parents, who loved me deeply and opened a world of possibilities for me.

The love I share with my wife also plays a significant role in my resilience. Her presence in my life elevates and challenges me to grow as a man, and I feel an immense responsibility to provide for and protect her. This love is a blessing that constantly drives me to be my best self.

At the heart of my mission is the goal to create spaces, training, and guidance for 1 million entrepreneurs to become happy, healthy, and financially free. I believe entrepreneurship is a powerful vehicle for shaping the world into a more united, peaceful, and collaborative place. It allows people to express and share their unique ideas freely, and I see businesses as vehicles not just for financial success, but for personal healing and societal impact.

My vision is to transform businesses into environments where founders and employees can find inner peace while successfully bringing their ideas to life. I see each business as an opportunity to positively impact society, helping to advance us all towards a better future.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m all about helping people thrive—especially entrepreneurs who are stuck in the hustle and grind trap, quietly suffering while trying to keep up appearances. I’ve seen too many talented people burn out because they think that’s just the price of success. My mission is to show them a better way.

My journey has been deeply personal. I’ve faced my own battles with depression, anxiety, addiction, and loneliness—all of which stemmed from a deep lack of self-worth that I tried to cover up by always chasing success. These experiences are what drive me to help others avoid the same pitfalls.

It all started with a deep dive into personal development—transcendental meditation, guided shamanic journeys, breath work, and learning from mentors like Tony Robbins and Dr. Joe Dispenza. This path led me to create the ZenPreneur philosophy, which is all about growing your business while staying grounded and at peace with yourself.

I bring a unique mix of experience to the table. I’ve mastered NLP, Hypnotherapy, and Executive Coaching, and I’ve gone through the Landmark Forum and Advanced Course twice, plus the Self Expression Leadership Program. This background lets me help people see that business growth and personal growth aren’t separate—they’re deeply connected.

I’ve been fortunate to achieve some pretty cool things along the way. As a student, I brokered a $30,000 deal that helped UBER break into Berlin’s luxury market. I also successfully exited my first startup, Awl & Sundry, in 2019. Since then, I’ve coached over 1,000 business owners and executive leaders on four continents. My TEDx talk has over 2 million organic views, and I’ve worked with companies like NYU, UBER, and Skanska Walsh.

But what really drives me is helping business owners scale their ventures without sacrificing their well-being. I hate seeing people get caught up in the grind, thinking they have to suffer to succeed. My clients’ stories—from scaling their businesses to strengthening their marriages—show that there’s a better way. I’ve been featured in Forbes and Affluence Magazine, and I’ve shared my approach on numerous podcasts.

I’m also passionate about giving back. I’ve mentored young entrepreneurs in South Africa, organized food supply runs for underprivileged communities in Cape Town, and hosted free masterclasses for young entrepreneurs worldwide.

Personally, I split my time between homes in Europe and South Africa, which keeps life interesting. I love spending time in nature, whether it’s hiking or just soaking in the scenery, and I make sure to fit in regular workouts. I’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth for German Haribo candy, and I’m a huge fan of superhero movies.

Looking ahead, I’m really excited about my upcoming book, set to launch next year. It’s going to be a game-changer for business leaders who want to grow without losing themselves in the process. Stay tuned—big things are coming!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

#1 Deep listening – learning to listen to understand what people need and want. To remove my own needs for the moment and really be with the person was instrumental to building relationships and then being able to ask for what I want later on.

#2 The art of serving people and impacting their life – learning how I could help them get what they want. Whether it was giving my time and attention, connecting them with a person they need to speak with, gifting them a book, offering practical solutions to their challenges or simply holding space for them to process what they are feeling.

#3 Radical responsibility – understanding that how I think, feel and act is 100% my responsibility. The only person that can change that is me. Blaming others will only lead to me staying on the level of thinking, feeling and acting that I’m currently at. For me responsibility means the ability to respond. That’s why I ensure that my self-talk is based on love so that I feel a greater sense of peace. With peace I don’t react, I respond.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I’m looking to connect with other creators and entrepreneurs in the digital business space. I want to spread my message and align with people that want to support the mission.
