Hi Marisa, we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
It took me a long time to find myself. For years, I searched for validation in everyone else’s eyes, wondering why I felt unhappy, insecure, and alone in a crowded room. It wasn’t until I looked within and truly understood my purpose that I found the confidence I needed—not just to grow for myself, but for my kids and for the incredible community of women I have surrounded myself with in Level Up Vibes.
When you believe in yourself, your ceiling becomes your ground floor, and the sky is the limit. I firmly believe that growth begins with self-confidence. If you don’t believe in yourself and your abilities, then what’s the point?

My life’s purpose is dedicated to empowering others. Through Beverly’s Angels, I have the privilege of ensuring that everyone we support has a voice. We provide brand new pajamas, socks, and underwear to our local heroes and their families —police officers, teachers, nurses, restaurant employees, and more. We gather information about favorite colors, sports, and themes because we believe in the power of personal choice and want our recipients to leave with a smile and a full heart.
But we don’t stop there. At Level Up Vibes, our mastermind group, we’re all about empowering women. We’ve built a community of like-minded women where we create a safe space to grow, support each other, and share our wins and struggles.
Empowerment begins with our children and extends through our actions and how we give back to our community. Together, we rise. I love what I do!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three qualities that were very impactful on my journey include:
Empathy: Understanding and connecting with the needs, challenges, and aspirations of others is crucial in creating meaningful support and empowerment. My struggles with mental health have given me a deeper understanding of others and a greater sense of patience.
Communication: Being able to effectively share ideas, listen actively, and foster open dialogue helps build trust and a strong sense of community. As a mom to three teenagers, it took years of practice to understand how to calmly and effectively communicate with others… if you can have a calm conversation with an emotional teenager, adults are a breeze lol
Resilience: The ability to stay determined and positive, even in the face of challenges, is key to inspiring and empowering others to overcome their own obstacles. You have to have the grit to keep getting back up after you fall. Most people will give up- if you want to be different than the norm, keep going!
I always tell my kids that hardships and obstacles create dynamic, exceptional humans. The key is to never give up, understand how to explain your expectations and understand we all bring something new and different to the table.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
Our ideal Trailblazer for Level Up Vibes is a driven and ambitious woman who is passionate about personal and professional growth. She is likely a successful entrepreneur, business leader, or professional who recognizes the value of community and mentorship. She seeks to connect with like-minded women who understand the challenges of balancing work, life, and personal well-being. This woman values empowerment, not just for herself but for those around her, including her children, colleagues, and community. She is eager to share her experiences, learn from others, and be part of a supportive network that encourages continuous development. Most importantly, she is ready to level up her mindset, skills, and impact, knowing that surrounding herself with strong, inspiring women will propel her forward!
