Meet Marisela Gonzalez

We recently connected with Marisela Gonzalez and have shared our conversation below.

Marisela, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
It’s important to note that building confidence and self-esteem not only professionally in your business but also with your personal life is an ongoing journey, and one that I am still working on constantly. Self-doubt can sometimes get the better of me.

Taking new risks and successfully completing events and achieving milestones in my career has been a significant contributor to my confidence. Each accomplishment reinforces me and adds to my professional and personal self-worth.

I honestly have the most supportive friends and family that have played a crucial role in building my confidence. Encouraging words and constructive feedback have helped me recognize my strengths and capabilities. Also, receiving positive feedback from vendor friends and my lovely clients has also played a huge role.

Reflecting on my experiences, strengths, and areas for improvement has allowed me to understand myself better and allow me to continue to grow.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My goal is to eventually have my own wedding and Events venue! <3

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Reflecting on my journey, three qualities and skills of knowledge that have been most impactful have been:
Being adaptable, communicating effectively as well as listening to my clients and continuing to learn and taking risks.

The advice I have for people starting on this journey which is one that I myself need to continue to do as well, is to approach challenges as opportunities to learn and to grow. To take advantage of professional development opportunities, attend workshops, pursue additional certifications, and stay informed about industry trends. Develop a habit of lifelong learning to stay ahead in your career.

How would you describe your ideal client?
As a wedding planner my ideal client is someone who shares my passion for creating unique and unforgettable experiences. Ideal clients are those who recognize the value of meticulous planning, personalized touches, and seamless execution in turning their dream wedding into a reality. Truly honest, respectful and kind people are my favorite clients!
