We recently connected with Marla Martenson and have shared our conversation below.
Marla, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
For me, that’s an easy one, since I have always had a creative side. As a gemini, I have lots of interests. So many in fact, I’m sure I will never get to all of them in this life time. I find that staying curious and trying new things, even if I don’t know how good at it I will be, keeps that creative force alive within me. I live life as an adventure, a canvas to paint my story and live to the fullest.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’ve been a professional matchmaker, with my own business for over two decades, bring soulmates together for long -term relationships and marriage. It’s been very rewarding. Now I am shifting my focus to add coaching for single women, to help them find their own life partner by clearing limiting beliefs, patterns and bringing in self-love and self-care. I also have a passion for energy healing, intuitive reading and mediumship. I offer magical sessions on my website. Writing has been a hobby all my life and I have four humorous memoirs available, the latest called, The Magic Seeker,
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I thinks that my background in acting has helped me in business, being able to speak on TV shows and podcasts with ease. I feel very comfortable in front of the camera. The quality of being extremely empathic and intuitive has helped me tuned into my clients and to help them navigate what they are going through, I am a naturally positive person and I feel that has helped me stay on track when things get challenging, If a person is early on the journey to making their dreams come true, I would suggest to stay curious, try new things, love yourself and remember that there is no one else like you in this world!
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
My parents let me try anything and everything that I wanted as a kid, from ballet, to baton, piano and singing lessons, ventriloquism, acting classes, you name it. They realized that I was a curious child that needed to self express and try things out. I think that’s why as an adult, I am still learning, growing and expanding,
