Meet Marlowe Currie

We were lucky to catch up with Marlowe Currie recently and have shared our conversation below.

Marlowe , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

What a wonderful question. When I saw this question, I immediately began to think about Moses. Our brother Moses had a confidence issue, similar to my own. I was afraid to speak. I once thought that, I wasn’t qualified to speak or to do anything that was connected to my purpose. It wasn’t until I gave the Lord God, my complete, unashamed yes! This is when my confidence and self-esteem, was birthed. I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My wife and I, are privileged to be over an amazing family, at Currie The Cross Church. We have been Pastoring for six years, and we have currently moved into our new location at 4301 Page Blvd, in Saint Louis Mo. 63113. Our mission, is the Great Commission, which tells us to go out and make more disciples. My main focus, is delivering the gospel, and to continue to shine this little light of mine.

We have also been blessed to have an online Christian Apparel Store. You can visit our site at www.leeolasclothing.com. We have some amazing T Shirts. We have been blessed to have our very own Christian Counseling Service, named “Currie’s Care Counseling”. We are also over our very own University. If you are interested in getting your Associate and Bachelor’s degree in Theology, you can visit us at “The Armor Of God University”. You can enroll at www.armorofgoduniversity.com.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Trusting the Lord

Believing In the Lord God

Having Faith In the Lord God

In the Bible, it speaks about a Samaritan woman. The Samaritan woman had a rough journey, but one day she decided to take another path, and that path led her to Jesus. She got tired of doing things her way, and that’s when she experienced a shift. See, if we want to experience a divine shift, we must allow Him to order our steps. This is what the Samaritan woman did.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

What a great way to close. The one that has been the most helpful, would be my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Bible states, “We Can Do All Things Through Christ, Who Strengthens”.
