Meet Marnie Kunz

We recently connected with Marnie Kunz and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Marnie, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

My parents, especially my dad. He is always proactive and likes to stay busy, and I am the same way. I also find it hard to sit still for long so like to stay active and be on the move.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I am a NYC-based running coach and fitness trainer with a background in journalism. I created Runstreet.com as a way to share my love of fitness and workouts and encourage people to explore more and stay active. In addition to writing for Runstreet, I also enjoy posting scenic places that I run in NYC and on my trips.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Resilience, adapting to change, and being resourceful have helped me a lot in my journey. I would advice people to create a plan of action and schedule when you will do your work so you can stay on track with your goals. Set measurable goals and assess your progress every month.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

The best thing my parents did for me was instill a sense of independence and self reliance. I learned from an early age that if I work hard and stay focused on my goals, it will pay off.
