Marquibe, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

My work ethic stemmed from watching the ones who came before me, and watching how they worked hard and reaped the benefits of it

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m a 19 y/o producer out of Nashville, Tennessee. I grew up around music so it was destined for me to fall in love with the art. I gravitated towards music because of the creativity it allows and how it allows you to express yourself. Being born in Music City gave me motivation to want to become a pioneer on the rap and r&b scene.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. An ear for what works and where. I can feel the pulse of different areas and markets and therefore that helps in catering tracks for artist worldwide.
2. I always seek out originality and creativity in every project i involve in.
3. I don’t listen to radio. I only listen to underground artist and don’t allow my mind to be programmed by the monotonous FM ad-driven playlists.
