Meet Marquis Stewart

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Marquis Stewart. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Marquis , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Let’s just say to start that I was born May 4th 1995 into a very loving and supportive family. My Queen & Pops are the best parents and solid as my support system. When I was 7 & 11 I was molested as well as bullied physically and mentally by my peers. I was always a character and wanted to make people laugh and feel good, at the age of 12 I then began to define myself and true purpose that has lead me to the success I have today. Being I always wanted to entertain and give people a show the only thing that corresponds to that is being an Actor. On top of being an Actor, I knew being a True leader was my purpose, main one at that. I have a heart of gold and no matter what wrong or bad things done to me or said to me, I never and will never let it define me and want to show people there is still good in the world. You really have to focus on healing your wounds and trauma before you emerge and truly flourish with your true soul purpose in life.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am an American actor/ Tv personality, Host, CEO & Influencer. I have been in the industry going on 4 years now professionally. At a young age I always had this light and charisma about me that people saw shine. I can remember people telling me you are meant to be someone big and of status at a young age. My grandpa on my Queen side would always tell me before he passed away, you are going to blow up and be a star so keep going and doing what you do no matter what people try to say or do to stop you. It has been a journey with my walk in life but knowing I Trust & Love GOD no one or nothing can sway or stop me from preserving. After college there was a situation where I became homeless, and had to stay from hotel to hotel. I just thank GOD I had a job with income to provide shelter. Nothing I went through was ever in vain. I have now harvest what I sown over my life. You can catch me in “The Prank Panel” S1E1 on ABC, “I Can See Your Voice” S3E8 premiering May 16th 2024. I am also in two movies on Tubi called “Cheating in the Next Room” & “The Ramen”. I have also Co -Hosted “The Kelly Clarkson Show” and now working on “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory New Musical” with RBT as Violet’s Dad Mr. Beauregarde. Shows are Running from March 21ST 2024 to April 22nd 2024.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I would definitely say at number 1 is trusting the process. You have to really enjoy your walk of life on the journey getting to what all GOD has in store for you. Always be willing to learn from others and listen to other people stories and journey because there are so much you can learn from. Always be humble, don’t let things get to your head or make you feel any superior than anyone else. Always believe in yourself and know that no matter what you can and will be the best at whatever it is you want to do in life and are going for. Never stop chasing your dreams or working at it. One day you will wake up and say “I DID IT & I AM DOING IT” just like me.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
My Queen Melissa M Stewart & Pops Keith P Stewart Sr did such a phenomenal job of raising me and preparing me for the real world. I was so ready after graduating High school in 2014, I moved to L A from St.Louis 2500 miles away on my own for School at AMDA (American Musical Dramatic Arts Academy). When I was younger they didn’t shelter me to much but they always wanted to make sure I showed them with actions they can trust me. They say I always had a good shoulder on my head and was a natural go getter but it came from them as well. They taught me Respect, Love , Morals, Values, Believing in myself , knowing how to play my cards with people who I don’t trust and biggest thing having my own Relationship with GOD. My Queen and pops have always been here to catch me or pick me up but one thing I can see nothing they sacrificed to make sure I had a good upbringing didn’t go in vain.
