Meet Marquise Myles

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Marquise Myles. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Marquise below.

Hi Marquise, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.

To be honest with you, I believe it comes from having a positive outlook on life. I wake up everyday intentional about making the day a better one than yesterday..

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Professionally right now I’m focused on creating art and building my production company JuicePlug Productions which I started from the ground up. Through my company I write, direct, and produce my own films. I enjoy telling real stories of everyday people showcasing that sometimes life doesn’t go as planned, which is what my latest film “The Last Showing” is about that was released in September 2024. I also still work professionally as a dancer and have a few more things I’d like to accomplish in that particular area.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

A few qualities that help me in this journey and still help me to this day are self-trust, self-worth, self-confidence, respect, listening, and communication. Especially in the entertainment field.

The advice I would give to someone early in their journey is simple, always bet on yourself. No one is going to believe in you more than you so don’t be scared to take the risk because you have to think, it can and will always work out.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

I’d have to say my family and my best friends have always helped me overcome challenges by giving me positive reinforcement. There is no blueprint of how exactly to navigate this entertainment industry, but having the strong backing of the ones you hold close to you does magic.

Throughout any journey you’re on you will have trails and tribulations but you have to not get defeated so easily. A great piece of advice I can add in is never stop being a student!
