We recently connected with Mars Kidd and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Mars with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
Growing up, I was constantly reminded of my limitations due to my heart condition. I was told that I couldn’t participate in sports, exercise, or take on jobs that might exhilarate my heart. These restrictions were meant to protect me, but they also instilled a belief that I wasn’t capable of doing certain things.
As I got older, I began to challenge these limitations. I discovered that I was capable of doing much more than I had been led to believe. This realization became the foundation of my work ethic. The more I was told I couldn’t do something, the more determined I became to prove that I could—within safe boundaries, of course.
This drive to overcome obstacles and exceed expectations has shaped the way I approach my work. I’ve learned to push myself, stay disciplined, and approach every task with determination and resilience. My work ethic is built on the belief that no challenge is too great and no goal is out of reach, as long as I am willing to put in the effort and stay committed to my personal growth and well-being.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
As an artist coming up in the industry, I faced numerous obstacles when it came to accessing traditional recording studios. Whether it was because I didn’t have a ride, was too young to be in certain environments, or simply couldn’t afford the steep prices, these barriers often stood in the way of my creative process.
These experiences inspired me to create “Studio on the Go.” I wanted to eliminate the hurdles that many aspiring artists face by making recording studios accessible and affordable for everyone. With “Studio on the Go,” you no longer have to worry about transportation, age restrictions, or high costs. Our mobile studio brings professional recording capabilities to your doorstep, allowing you to create high-quality music anytime and anywhere.
Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting out, “Studio on the Go” is here to help you bring your music to life without the hassle of traditional studio access.
“Studio on the Go” is a mobile recording studio service designed to bring the studio experience directly to you, wherever you are.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey, three qualities and skills stand out as particularly impactful:
1. Resilience: Facing numerous obstacles, from my heart condition to challenges in accessing recording studios, taught me the importance of resilience. It’s not about avoiding difficulties but rather about how you respond to them. Resilience allowed me to keep pushing forward, even when things seemed impossible.
Advice: Embrace setbacks as learning opportunities. Cultivate a mindset that sees challenges as chances to grow. The more you practice bouncing back from difficulties, the stronger and more resilient you’ll become.
2. Creativity: My creativity didn’t just fuel my music; it also helped me find solutions to the problems I faced. When I couldn’t access a studio, I didn’t give up—I created “Studio on the Go” to solve that issue, not just for myself but for others as well.
Advice: Stay curious and open-minded. Engage in activities that stimulate your creativity, whether it’s through music, art, or problem-solving in everyday life. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box and pursue unconventional solutions to the challenges you encounter.
3. Determination: Determination was the driving force behind my efforts to prove I could do what others said I couldn’t. It kept me focused and committed to my goals, despite the obstacles.
Advice: Set clear goals and stay committed to them. Break your larger goals into smaller, manageable steps, and celebrate each milestone. When things get tough, remind yourself why you started and let that fuel your determination to keep going.
For those early in their journey, focus on developing these qualities through experience and self-reflection. Every challenge you face is an opportunity to build resilience, flex your creativity, and strengthen your determination. Stay patient with yourself, and remember that growth is a continuous process.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Dear Potential Partner/Investor’s.
I hope this message finds you well. My name is Mars, and I’m the founder of “Studio on the Go,” a mobile recording studio service designed to bring high-quality studio experiences directly to our clients. We are on a mission to make recording studios more accessible and affordable for artists of all levels.
The Opportunity:
As an artist, I faced numerous barriers when trying to access traditional recording studios—whether it was transportation issues, age restrictions, or financial limitations. These challenges inspired me to create “Studio on the Go,” a service that eliminates these barriers by bringing the studio directly to the artist.
We’ve already seen significant interest and success with our current model, but I believe there is a tremendous opportunity to scale this concept. My vision is to take “Studio on the Go” to the next level by outfitting a mobile box truck or sprinter van with state-of-the-art recording equipment, creating a fully mobile studio that can serve artists anywhere, anytime.
Why Invest in “Studio on the Go”:
1. Proven Demand: There is a growing demand for flexible, accessible recording solutions. Our service meets this need by offering a unique and convenient alternative to traditional studios.
2. Scalability:With the right investment, “Studio on the Go” has the potential to expand rapidly into new markets, reaching a wider audience and generating substantial returns.
3. Impact: Beyond profitability, this venture offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting artists who might otherwise struggle to access the resources they need to bring their music to life.
What We’re Looking For:
I am seeking partners or angel investors who share my passion for music and innovation. Your investment would enable us to purchase and customize the necessary vehicle, equip it with top-tier recording gear, and launch this next phase of “Studio on the Go.”
