We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Marshella Muzic a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Marshella , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
My Resilience comes from my Faith and relationship with Jesus Christ.
I have had some hard times in my life. God has proven time and time again that if I trust him, he will see me through my trials and tribulations.
No matter how hard life has become, I can always find some kind of joy in the middle of it all. I have no doubts that God is with me through it all.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I have had health challenges over the years and it impacted my life in a huge way.
When I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer, it really changed the way I thought about life. It forced me to confront fears that I have had over the years. It also taught me not to sweat the small stuff in life.
I have always been into music but I never felt confident enough to be out front or share my songwriting.
After going through the hardest treatments and time in my life, I learned to choose Faith over Fear.
I started writing and wanting to share all of the music that God was inspiring me to write.
We are here on this earth for a purpose. God gave me gifts to use for his glory and my cancer journey has taught me to live everyday in love and light and to use my gifts to help others and bring them joy.
God can use your life and the trials and tribulations you are going through to help others.
I write and sing songs from a very real place in my heart.
My prayer to the Lord is that he gives me the words and melodies to penetrate the hearts of everyone who hears it. If someone finds joy or can relate to my songs, I feel like I am walking in my purpose.
As bad as Cancer was, it also blessed me immensely. It helped me to see the world in a different light, and to want to be the best version of myself.
When I get knocked down, I keep getting back up.
Living out my purpose and knowing that I am helping others makes me happy and fulfilled.
My debut album, “Moodz” was released not long ago. I am so proud of it.
When I listen to it, it reminds me of what i’ve been through and how I am now on the other side of things.
It is a very uplifting album about love, loss and it has some really chill vibes as well.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My 3 qualities are Faith, Education and enjoying the process.
The best advice I can give is to never stop going after your dreams. They were put in your spirit for a reason. You are on this earth for a reason. There is only one you and whatever God given gifts you have were given to you and only you.
Even when things look bad, don’t let it deter you from your destiny. Life is short and it is important to live it to the fullest.
The goal should be to leave this earth having left it a much better place.
If we aren’t loving people unconditionally and helping others reach their full potential, we have sadly missed the whole point of this life.
Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
My Parents have been married for almost 53 years. The most impactful thing my parents did for me was to never tell me I couldn’t do something.
Whatever I wanted to do, they did their best to sign me up for classes and to support me.
They have always instilled Faith and the love of Jesus Christ in me and my Siblings.
I always knew I had their support whether I was good at something or not. The unconditional love they have always shown was so instrumental in our development and self-esteem. I really have the best parent’s ever and even after all these years i can count on them to be my biggest cheerleaders.
