Meet Martina Negro

We recently connected with Martina Negro and have shared our conversation below.

Martina , we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?

I think self-care is so important in every aspect of your life. The top three things I do for self-care are physical activity, healthy eating, and surrounding myself with positive people. I try to move my body everyday whether it’s going for a walk, running, taking a Pilates class, or going for a swim. I also try to drink plenty of water and eat healthy when I can. The most important thing I do is surround myself with positive people, that want the best for me and motivate me everyday. Doing these things really impacts my effectiveness because I have increased productivity and better time management, I make better decisions, and it also helps improve my mental health.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m currently pursuing content creation and social media full-time, and the most exciting aspect is how fresh and dynamic the field is. There’s always something new to learn, and we’re all collectively figuring out the best ways to monetize on social media. Being part of an industry that’s growing so rapidly is incredibly exciting. I love the creative freedom it offers and the opportunity social media has given me to connect with people from around the world.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

In my journey as an influencer, authenticity has been one of the top qualities to building a genuine connection with my audience. At the same time, effective time management has been crucial for myself and with brand collaborations to ensure that I deliver quality work consistently and on time. I take pride in the relationships I make and I value the connections I have built throughout my journey. Adaptability has also played a significant role, allowing me to pivot quickly in response to industry changes and emerging trends, keeping my content fresh and relevant. My advice on being authentic is to avoid comparisons. Just be yourself! For time management, I like to start my morning off with self-care which motivates me for tasks and I ALWAYS set a schedule. And as for adaptability, my advice is to be open-minded and take risks!

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?

The Confident Mind by Dr. Nate Zinsser has played a significant role in my development, particularly in building the mental resilience needed for success as a content creator and in any business. It has taught me mental rehearsal and the power of visualizing success before it happens, manifesting as we know it, positive self-talk, and to focus on the present.

These principles from The Confident Mind have not only helped me in my professional journey but have also been invaluable in personal growth, teaching me how to approach life with confidence, resilience, and a positive mindset.
