Meet Mary Johnson

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mary Johnson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Mary, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
Through developing self care, focusing on the importance of my internal health, and choosing to help others do the same and that soon turned into my passion.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am the owner of Vitiman Kandie LLC ( Spelled that way for trademark) that consist of 3 components: Physical Fitness, Wellness, and Herbalism

“Vitiman Kandie’s innovative line of natural herbs, vegan food, fresh juices, and Vegan Wine that offers nutrition on the go for hopeful spirits in pursuit of improving their personal health. If you are looking for a holistic approach to your wellness journey, Vitiman Kandie is your answer.”

I turned my passion into purpose after losing 120lbs and it took off. Since 2015 I have opened a personal training studio, 2 vegan cafes, 1 vegan restaurant, and next spring another vegan cafe and herbal on Cleveland’s westside. I am a certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Coach, Genetic DNA programmer, two time Authoress, and Vegan Chef.

Learning to transition to vegan” class on November 18th

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Becoming a certified Rock Mechanic Engineer through Cargill, a certified personal trainer, and a self taught vegan chef.

The best advice I can give is take your time, use every free resource available to you in your community to gain financial education, business management, and a trusty mentor who can give you great advice and teach your how to lead properly

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My mother ECDI, Cleveland Urban League, 10 KSB Goldman & Sachs program, Jumpstart, last my mentor Tenora Edwards.
