Meet Maryanne Chisholm

We recently connected with Maryanne Chisholm and have shared our conversation below.

Maryanne, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

many years ago, I went through a traumatic experience that impacted my life and the lives of many many other people. Each day I would wake up surrounded by this nightmare, and I would tell myself that I would have to do something creative that was different than anything I had done any day prior to that. Even if I didn’t want to do it, I would force myself through it at the end of the day i could say, “This was a hard day but look what I created”. i developed techniques for managing both creativity and discipline by doing this.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am Maryanne Chisholm, the founder of Ascend From Within, an empowerment company that helps individuals transform their lives using the Law of Assumption, inspired by Neville Goddard’s teachings. Beyond my work in empowerment, I am also an artist deeply engaged in exploring and expressing the nuances of human thought and emotion through my art.

One of the most exciting aspects of my work is my latest series, ‘Antiquities From Past Experiences “ This collection delves into the remnants and impressions of human cognition, capturing the ethereal and often elusive nature of our mental landscapes. Each piece is an exploration of the subconscious mind, blending abstract forms with vibrant colors to evoke a sense of introspection and wonder.

What sets my artwork apart is the fusion of my artistic vision with my commitment to personal empowerment. I believe that art has the power to inspire and transform, much like the teachings I share through Ascend From Within. My pieces aim to provoke thought, spark dialogue, and ultimately, inspire individuals to explore their own inner landscapes.

Recently i opened a new store for digital collectibles and art prints at mcartist.org, powered by thehug.xyz with Randi Zuckerberg.

In addition to my artistic endeavors, I am in the process of launching a coaching program specifically designed for struggling women. This program will focus on elevating their skills and self-esteem, helping them to thrive both personally and professionally.

Thank you for the opportunity to share my story and my art. I am passionate about continuing to create and inspire, using both my artwork and my empowerment work to make a positive impact.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are patience, attention to detail, and the pursuit of perfection.

1. Patience: Success doesn’t happen overnight, and this is especially true in both the fields of empowerment and art. Patience has allowed me to persist through challenges and setbacks, knowing that each step forward, no matter how small, is progress. For those early in their journey, I recommend cultivating patience by setting realistic goals and celebrating small victories along the way.
2. Attention to Detail: Whether I’m creating a piece of art or developing a new course for Ascend From Within, attention to detail is crucial. It’s the small, intricate details that often make the difference between something good and something exceptional. My advice is to always take the time to refine your work and pay close attention to the finer points. This will set you apart and show a level of care and professionalism that others will notice.
3. Pursuit of Perfection: While perfection is an ever-elusive goal, striving for it has driven me to continuously improve and innovate. This pursuit has led to higher standards and better outcomes in all my endeavors. For those starting out, I suggest embracing this mindset not as a source of pressure, but as a motivation to always push your boundaries and elevate your work.

By focusing on these three areas, you can develop a strong foundation for success and create work that truly stands out. Remember, it’s a journey, and every step you take brings you closer to your goals.

How would you describe your ideal client?

My ideal client is someone who views the world as a magical place filled with many unseen layers. They are empathic and possess a deep sensitivity, enabling them to connect with the soul of the pieces of art I create. This person appreciates the intricate details and the underlying emotions conveyed through my work, and they are open to exploring the profound and often subtle messages embedded within each piece. They value the journey of introspection and transformation that my art offers, and they are enthusiastic about discovering new perspectives through creative expression. This ideal client is not just looking for art, but for a meaningful connection and an experience that resonates deeply with their own inner world.
