Meet Matt Schmitt

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Matt Schmitt. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Matt , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I started at 465 pounds and my health was declining. My doctor said i was going to die if i didn’t change. I wouldn’t see my children grow up. So 2021 i started doing yoga and eating right. I have now lost 185 pounds and now am certified life coach and yoga instructor. It was through this i gained the motivation to finally own my life.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am a certified YRT 200, 300, chair certified instructor focusing on helping people gain mobility, balance and weight loss. I am working with barbaric patients to help gain their goals. I do bi weekly classes right now in Lexington Ky. Also do themed events. Help clients with life goals and meal prep.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Really learning that story you tell yourself really is how you change your life. And if you say you can or can’t you are right.

Surround yourself with a positive support group. You are not alone and don’t have to do this alone. Find someone to help that aligns with your goals.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

Diamond Dallas Page. He has been my mentor using DDPY and really helping me transform myself.
