Meet Maverick Mora

We recently connected with Maverick Mora and have shared our conversation below.

Maverick, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

My work ethic is deeply rooted in the values instilled by my family. The commitment, integrity and respect are something I grew up with and undeniably a big part of who I am. I believe that true success comes not just from hard work, but from doing things the right way. With honesty and a sense of purpose, every project I take on reflects these principles, ensuring that my dedication isn’t just about results but about the impact I leave behind. Respecting the work, the people I work with, and the industry I serve is what drives me to continuously improve and uphold the standards that were passed down to me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

At LRAV we help every event meeting planner or product manager to create an experience for their event. We provide audio, video, lighting and entertainment for any type of event. We love to start working with clients at the first phase of the event, making the decisions of who, what, where and why. It is very exciting for us because we can help bring their vision to life using programs like Vectorworks. These type of things allow us to showcase a rendering of the show, even if we are not near the location of the event. My biggest pride is that we have solutions for every event challenge. Whatever it may be, my LRAV family and I are quick on our feet and determined to find any type of solution.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The technical aspects, well, every person should know what their specialty is. In my case, it’s the audio and understand it in order to make it perfect for the audience. Doesn’t matter if it’s in a ballroom or an arena, I have the capabilities to engineer the perfect sound for every spectator. Two other important skills, are problem solving & adaptability. The ability to adjust to different venues and clients needs at the last minute is extremely common in the AV Industry. A person has to be creative in overcoming challenges, whether in a live event, an installation or a production. Professionalism in pressure environments, such as live productions, forces you to develop excellent communication and client services. Time management is also crucial in coordinating schedules and ensuring quality and deadlines are met. This industry is a very high pace environment, my advice to a person starting in this business is to never stop learning. Always seek for that improvement and listen carefully to the client. Don’t be afraid to ask and learn something new.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

I have learned in my years of experience, that every client looking for our AV services is looking to create something more. That is our ideal client, someone who values high quality production, understands the impact of immersive experiences, and appreciates professionalism in execution. If you are wanting a visionary, experience driven, collaborative company that focuses on quality detail orientation, then LRAV is company you are looking for.
