We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Max Ehrman. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Max below.
Max, so glad you were able to set aside some time for us today. We’ve always admired not just your journey and success, but also the seemingly high levels of self-discipline that you seem to have mastered and so maybe we can start by chatting about how you developed it or where it comes from?
My discipline as an artist comes from my background in architecture and years of working on large-scale public art projects. Architecture taught me structure, precision, and problem-solving, while murals and commissions required strict deadlines, planning, and follow-through. Over time, I developed a disciplined creative process built on consistency, professionalism, and a deep commitment to my craft.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m Max Ehrman, also known as EON75, an artist whose work bridges architecture, nature, and imagination. My art explores the harmony between structure and fluidity—where sacred geometry meets organic movement. What excites me most is transforming public spaces into living canvases that connect people through color, form, and rhythm. Whether it’s a massive mural, a watercolor in my studio, or a community collaboration, each piece is about creating a sense of wonder and unity.
My brand, EON75 (Extermination of Normality), represents breaking away from convention and celebrating the beauty of individuality. I’ve painted murals across the U.S. and internationally, working with city commissions, nonprofits, and festivals to bring art into everyday life.
Currently, I’m expanding my practice with new fine art series and public art projects, as well as developing a line of products—bags, apparel, and prints—that make my artwork accessible beyond the wall. Every new project continues my mission: to inspire, uplift, and connect people through art that transforms space and spirit. I also have a clothing and product line that can be found at www.maxehrman.com.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, three qualities have had the biggest impact on my journey: discipline, adaptability, and community connection.
1. Discipline
My background in architecture and years of painting large-scale murals taught me that creativity needs structure. Discipline helped me meet deadlines, stay consistent, and keep growing even when inspiration wasn’t there.
Advice: Build routines, set goals, and treat your art like a profession—not a hobby.
2. Adaptability
Art, clients, cities, budgets—nothing ever goes exactly as planned. Being flexible allowed me to adjust, evolve my style, and stay relevant across different mediums and cultures. Always push the boundaries to different mediums and styles…
Advice: Be open to learning new tools, exploring new ideas, and stepping outside your comfort zone. Growth lives in the unknown. Also collaboration is a key aspect to any artist growth for a creative.
3. Community & Relationships
So many opportunities came from people—other artists, city programs, nonprofits, festivals. Public art is about connection, and the relationships I built opened doors I could never force on my own.
Advice: Show up, collaborate, help others, and be professional. Your interaction with the community and the urban fabric is always very important.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I currently have collaborated with hundreds of artists over the years, from painting at mural festivals to creating artwork for schools and non profits.
