Meet Max Raymond

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Max Raymond. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Max below.

Max , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My purpose was found thru my passion. Growing up in Miami Florida I watched a lot of my peers fall victim to the traps of our city and I truly began to understand where and why most of these traps existed. Thru my passion and commitment to my God given ability I looked to create a platform for myself to be able to speak on my purpose and what it means to be a young black man in America.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am Creative Director based out of Miami Florida I began my career on the fast track working with brands such as Sniper Gang Apparel, Fly Supply Clothing, and even creative directing for NFL athletes such as Odell Beckham. Today I am continuing to build on the HitSquadOG brand that I created in college and want to expand into creative consulting for the next generations of brands coming up.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

3 qualities that I feel were most impactful on my journey I would say is passion, commitment, and authenticity. Til this day these are the pillars I stand on and these are what created my brand. I feel like that’s the best advice I can give to anyone starting out on this journey, keep the passion its going to get you thru those hard days, stay committed its going to remind you why you’re on this journey, and no matter what keep it authentic its going to be the secret sauce that no one can duplicate.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?

In todays society I think the biggest obstacle myself and other creatives are facing is keeping the craft genuine and authentic. We are now in a world where content creation has become a beast of its own which is having a microwavable effect on the audience, trends are becoming the driving force and many creatives are losing that unique and authentic style that sets us apart from each other. Real cookie cutter vibes going on right now. I resolve that issue by falling back to my 3 pillars on which I created my brand on.
