Meet Maya Fiennes

We recently connected with Maya Fiennes and have shared our conversation below.

Maya, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

My upbringing.. grew up under socialist regime and learned discipline at my music academy .. practicing piano for hours every day.. that requires persistence, discipline and resilience

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Created Kundadance
I train teachers
I have over 1000 teachers now all over US and Europe
It’s a brand that I like to talk about
Kundadance is dancing through the chakras ,elevating the spirit, shifting the old and creating a new way of thinking, being and doing

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I use all my skills in my yoga practice
My skill as a musician .. (I create my own music for my classes, workshops, videos and retreats ) so I give a very unique experience to my students
My skill as a dancer..( hence creation of Kundadance where I combine the yoga and dance knowledge and add on Thai chi and qi gong to integrate the activated chakras)
My skill as author..
I incorporate my story telling in my classes to enhance the spiritual journey and learn through life experiences and become a motivational speaker

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

My mother who thought me to rely on myself to be independent and follow my heart
My piano teacher who open my mind and let me see beyond this 3D world
My father who though me to never give up and see love in all
