We were lucky to catch up with Mayra G. recently and have shared our conversation below.
Mayra, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
In Mexico we say, ‘lloras tantito y sigues adelante’ — have a little cry and keep going. The truth is you don’t have to be unbreakable, you just have to keep moving.
But beyond that, my resilience comes from not giving myself a plan B. For me, having a backup plan would only take my focus away from my goals. I know it sounds crazy because society says we should always have options- but sometimes that’s exactly where the problems begins. When you spread your energy too thin, you stop fighting for the dream that truly matters.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
We’re focusing on expanding on many levels. We’re hiring moms who can work from home, allowing them to be present while also earning an income. We’ll continue growing our wholesale partnerships and honoring what has always made our brand special: genuine, face-to-face connections through pop-ups.
Next year, we’ll keep traveling and sharing our work in different cities—especially New York, Orlando, Chicago, and Mexico. These moments of meeting our clients and hearing their stories remind me why I started… and why I’m still dreaming.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Passion, resilience, creativity.
Someone once said “ when you desire to make your dreams come true with the same urgency as when you gasp for air after a minute underwater… then, and only then, you will achieve them.
I treat my dreams like oxygen — essential and non—negotiable. When I feel that burning urgency , I channel it into consistent action every day . Don’t wait for the perfect moment start now, persist relentlessly, and remember we only have one life, try to live as peaceful as you can, cherishing every moment and embracing what brings you joy.

How would you describe your ideal client?
This is a very important question even though its often underestimated. For me it’s not about having strict ideal customer— I don’t want to limit myself or define someone in just a few words. Human beings are incredibly diverse, full of unique qualities, and that’s what makes this work so meaningful. I create because I’m driven by passion, and every person I connect with gives me the opportunity to express myself and bring my vision to life.ultimately, my main goal is to keep creating freely and authentically, and to share that experience with those who resonate with it.
