Meet Mckenzie Jevnikar

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mckenzie Jevnikar a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

McKenzie, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

My confidence has definitely been a journey! A lot of it came from finally learning to embrace who I am – the good, the messy, and everything in between. I’ve always been passionate about learning, so I poured myself into personal development, investing in courses, mentorships, and surrounding myself with people who inspire me, which definitely helped build my confidence. However, motherhood was what truly shifted my perspective and solidified my self-confidence. Becoming a mom taught me that I’m stronger and more capable than I ever realized. Balancing my role as a wife, mom, and entrepreneur has shown me that I can face any challenge no matter the size and crush it, which has allowed me to really trust myself and be proud of who I am and what I bring to the table.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

As the founder of Covalent Creative, a virtual assistant and business management agency, I’ve always been passionate about helping entrepreneurs and small business owners turn their big ideas into reality. At Covalent Creative, we focus on helping small business owners and entrepreneurs scale their businesses by offering tailored virtual support, strategic planning, and creative solutions.

What excites me most about what we do is the way we blend creativity with strategy – it’s truly where science meets art. We don’t just offer services; we partner with our clients to help them achieve their dreams. And one of the things I’m most proud of is how we’ve created a culture of collaboration and genuine care. My team and I are committed to fostering deep connections with our clients, ensuring that their vision becomes a reality while keeping the process fun and stress-free.

Right now, I’m thrilled to introduce our newest offer: Quiz In A Day – Your Quiz Funnel Fast Track. This VIP service is perfect for anyone looking to grow their email list and boost conversions with a custom-built quiz funnel. Quizzes are one of the most effective ways to engage your audience and generate leads, and with this offer, I take care of everything—from quiz strategy and copywriting to integration and setup. It’s designed for busy entrepreneurs who want to eliminate the overwhelm of tech and finally launch a quiz that brings in red-hot leads on autopilot. Plus, I’m offering two weeks of post-day support and a bonus ad strategy to help clients really maximize their results. I’m SO excited to help more business owners unlock the power of quizzes and grow their businesses effortlessly!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, one of the most impactful qualities that’s shaped my journey has been resilience. Entrepreneurship is full of ups and downs, and being able to bounce back from setbacks, stay motivated, and keep pushing forward has been invaluable. When things get tough—and they do—resilience is what helps you see the bigger picture and continue moving towards your goals, even when the path isn’t clear.

Self-awareness has also played a huge role, especially when it comes to understanding my strengths, weaknesses, and how I manage my time. As a business owner, wife, and mom, balancing all these aspects of my life can be overwhelming at times. But learning to prioritize, set boundaries, and focus on what truly matters has kept me grounded. Knowing where I excel has allowed me to lean into my strengths, while being honest about where I need support has made it easier to delegate tasks to others who can help me succeed.

Lastly, community building has been essential to my growth. Surrounding myself with a network of supportive, like-minded individuals has not only provided me with a space to learn and grow but has also been a constant source of encouragement. Entrepreneurship can feel isolating at times, but being part of a strong community makes all the difference. My advice to those just starting out would be to invest in building your support system early and protect your energy by being intentional with your time. Resilience, self-awareness, and community are key to staying the course and thriving in the long run.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

Two people have been instrumental in helping me overcome challenges and build the skills I needed to succeed—my coach, Sara Wiles, and my husband, Evan Jevnikar.

Sara has been such a guiding light in my entrepreneurial journey, I seriously wouldn’t even have this agency if it weren’t for her! Her mentorship has not only given me the tools and strategies to grow Covalent Creative, but also the confidence to trust my instincts and fully lean into and embrace my unique approach to business as a whole. She’s pushed me to think bigger, stay focused, and continually evolve, while keeping my family and values at the forefront.

My husband, Evan, has been my rock through it all. He’s my biggest supporter and has always believed in me, even during the *constant* moments of doubt in the beginning. Balancing life and building a business isn’t easy, but his unwavering encouragement and partnership at home and in business have made all the difference. I’m so lucky to do life with him, and even more blessed that he trusted me enough to help him launch his own brand, Daily Dino Guy!
