Growing up immersed in the world of sports, I unknowingly forged a powerful trait that would shape my character and guide me through businesses challenges: resilience. The countless hours spent on the ice, field, and dance studio, taught me invaluable lessons about perseverance, determination, and the essential nature of failure on the path to success.
In the realm of sports, failure is not a dead-end but a stepping stone towards improvement. Every fall on the ice, every lost game, and every stumble during a dance solo became a source of motivation rather than a deterrent. These experiences taught me that setbacks are temporary and that they provide an opportunity to analyze, adapt, and grow. With each fall, I learned to pick myself up, no. matter how painful. This mentality, has proven to be a guiding light during moments of adversity while building my business.
One of the most significant lessons sports taught me was the direct correlation between effort and outcome. The harder I practiced, the better I became. This principle holds true in all facets of life, including business. Just as hours of practice led to improved performance in sports, investing time, energy, and dedication in my professional endeavours yielded tangible results. The work ethic cultivated on the field seamlessly transferred to my approach in the business world.
In sports, success is not handed out arbitrarily; it’s earned through sweat, dedication, and a willingness to face challenges head-on. This philosophy is mirrored in business. Success in entrepreneurship or any professional pursuit isn’t guaranteed; it’s the product of persistent effort, calculated risks, and an ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Just as I learned to adjust my strategy on the ice or the field, I’ve learned to pivot my business strategies when needed, leveraging the same resilience that sports instilled in me.
In essence, growing up immersed in the world of sports gifted me with a mindset that readily embraces challenges, sees failures as stepping stones, and understands the direct relationship between effort and results. I’m beyond thrilled to introduce myself as the CEO of an incredible Canada-wide photo and video team that’s all about capturing the most beautiful love stories out there. Weddings are our jam, our passion, and our heartwarming specialty.
We’re not just any photography and videography team; we’re storytellers. We believe that your wedding day is a chapter in your own unique love story, and it deserves to be told in the most authentic, emotional, and beautiful way possible. With over 300 love stories already under our belt, we’ve had the incredible honour of witnessing and capturing the magic of love in its purest forms.
We’re not stopping at just Canada, we’re spreading our wings (or should I say lenses?) and gearing up for a worldwide adventure. By fall 2024, we’re aiming to have our talented team members across the USA, ready to freeze those unforgettable moments in time with their cameras.
Now, let’s talk about what truly sets us apart – our dedication to being your wedding besties! We get it, planning a wedding is a rollercoaster of emotions and details. That’s why we’re not just here to show up on your big day, snap some photos, and leave. No way! We’re your partners in crime throughout your entire wedding planning journey, and always a text away.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my entrepreneurial journey, I’ve come to realize that three distinct qualities have been the driving forces behind my success. These qualities have shaped my path, fuelled my determination, and set me apart in the world of business. Looking back, it’s clear that they’ve been the cornerstone of my achievements.
First and foremost, I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the unwavering confidence that my parents instilled in me from an early age. Their belief in my abilities provided me with a solid foundation on which to build my dreams. Armed with this confidence, I was able to dive into my entrepreneurial journey without being shackled by the full weight of imposter syndrome. It’s incredible how far you can go when you truly believe in yourself. Their gift of confidence has been my armour against self-doubt and a constant reminder that I am deserving of the success I’ve achieved. Do you believe that you deserve success?
Secondly, my hunger for more propels me forward. I possess a go-getter attitude that refuses to settle or accept defeat. This hunger is what makes me push my boundaries, strive for excellence, and continue innovating. There’s an innate drive within me that seeks growth and improvement in all aspects of life. It’s not just about accomplishing goals; it’s about the thrill of the chase, the excitement of the unknown, and the satisfaction of turning dreams into reality. As previously mentioned, this is likely all thanks to growing up in sports! This attitude has led me to embrace challenges, adapt to change, and keep my eyes locked on the horizon of endless possibilities.
Lastly, my passion for business has been a defining trait that sets me apart. While many artists might shy away from the world of sales, marketing, and strategies, I’ve embraced these aspects wholeheartedly. My love for business has become my not-so-secret weapon, allowing me to navigate the complex landscape of entrepreneurship with confidence and finesse. Recognizing that creativity and commerce can coexist, I’ve seamlessly integrated my artistic pursuits with savvy business practices. This has not only elevated my work but has also enabled me to stand out in a crowded market, creating a unique brand that resonates with both my artistic vision and the practical needs of my clients.
Looking back, I see how these three qualities – confidence, hunger for more, and a love for business – have been pivotal in shaping my journey as an entrepreneur. They’ve allowed me to overcome challenges, seize opportunities, and transform my dreams into a reality. As I continue to forge ahead, I’m grateful for the foundation they’ve provided and excited for the limitless potential they hold for my future endeavours.
