Meet Meihe Wu

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Meihe Wu a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Meihe, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.

Along my journey, there have been many teachers who are very giving and generously share knowledge. I never felt little because they know more than me. When I felt the imposter syndrome, I realize that I am in a “position” that my teachers were. They already showed me how to be a big person. So I try passing on the kindness I was given. To encourage someone, share, and help each other.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am a 3D artist focus on Character art including digital sculpting, grooming, clothing. and design.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

the 3 qualities I think helped me the most are curiosity, patience, and consistency.
Sometimes things take time. With patience, you will be able to have fun along the journey and remember to enjoy the journey. With curiosity, you will explore, gathering elements that may be contributing to things along the road.
With consistency, you give yourself the chance to push something to high quality.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

When I feel overwhelmed, I take myself away from something that currently overwhelms me.
I would go on a short trip, hang out with my friends, or simply sleep and watch movies. Things always look easier with a refreshed, relaxed mind.
