Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Melissa Hernandez. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Melissa, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
I believe that a person’s character is reflected by his or her own self esteem. I believe that by thinking positively and having high self esteem I can have happier, better outlook on life. Ever since I was little I have always had respect for myself. when I looked at myself, I saw that my confidence drives me. I have realized that my experience with my challenges helped me to grow as a person. My decision to get back to running improved my confidence and self-esteem. I understood how difficult it can be to depend on others for basic needs. I have become humbler and can recognize when another person experiences pain. I am grateful for all the blessings in my life and will never take anything for granted .
Having high self esteem can have an impact to my self righteousness, self perseverance and future. Without my self esteem I wouldn’t be the person I am today. I wouldn’t have the grades I have, I wouldn’t be where I am and I wouldn’t be confident in who I am. Life is so much with high self esteem because I can be whatever I want and I can believe in the things I want to do. I want to become a Coordinator Music Programming or Radio Personality/Producer. so contribute my life to helping others and create ideas and able to play music that suits for audience . With my self esteem I wouldn’t struggle to become that top notch go to famous Coordinator Music Programming or Radio Personality/Producer. Believing in myself and respecting myself now can help me become of my dream career I have always wanted to be.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
My career journey as communications/media major as a full-time college student is not easy. Knowing that it’s difficult, I’ve learned along the way to be on time, consistent, humble, & not to give your best ideas away. In time I’m most excited about my journey as a continuing Music Programming and Radio Host. I want the world to know about me & my journey because I’m on the rise as a young independent executive & an industry changer.
To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?
My mother have always been wonderful parent to me. She have worked hard to provide a stable foundation for my life and future . My mom and I have a really strong bond and we have a really strong relationship. she is the only ones in my life that help and support me in anything I do. She don’t want me to give up because sometimes things get hard. My mom and I need to learn how to continue on and work through it without giving up. My mom know when something is wrong and I want to give up, but she always tell me to never give up and they make me work harder. I desire to be like her, I want to be strong and independent . How my mother is a big part in my life. My mom is the person that sticks everything together. She is the foundation of my world and I would be lost without her. She is the one in my family that does the work, knows what’s best for me and knows what my limits are. My mom is the biggest and the best role model in my life and when I grow up I will know to push my limits and never give up. I hope to have a bright future, just like she did.
