Meet Melissa Quinn Fox

We recently connected with Melissa Quinn Fox and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Melissa , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
Both of my parents were always hard working and their parents before them. I started working at 14 at a pizza shop at the end of our street and I always loved being independent and being able to support myself. When I started playing shows as a singer/songwriter I found it was really hard for me to say no to an offer. I was so grateful for each opportunity to perform and I just wanted to give my all as often as possible and connect with the audience, sharing my music.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am an award-winning singer/songwriter known for my blend of Country and Americana music. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA and currently based in Northern VA, I believe what sets my music apart is the genuine connection to personal experiences found in the storytelling of my lyrics also the diverse combination of musical influences that create a distinct sound that resonate with a broad audience. I’m currently promoting my latest single ‘Searching’ and EP ‘Everything Changes’. I’m excited to connect with listeners through live shows and social media. Listeners can expect more new music and a full tour schedule in 2024.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Thinking back on my journey as a songwriter and performer, I believe resilience, authenticity, and a continued desire to grow and improve have been vital in my development as an Artist. My advice to those starting their journey is to embrace challenges, stay true to yourself, and find ways to push yourself while honing your skills.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
Absolutely! I’m open to collaborate with musicians of any genre, producers, and creatives who share a passion for authentic storytelling through music. Connect with me through my website or social media, I’d love to hear from you!
