We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Melissa Trajano. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Melissa below.
Melissa, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
My generosity comes from my mom. Growing up, I watched her give selflessly to family, friends, and even strangers. Her kindness and thoughtfulness were such a natural part of her life that it shaped the way I approach others—I try to give without expecting anything in return, just like she did.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am an Austin-based content creator, entrepreneur, and Senior Transition Associate at RPM Living. I focus on sharing lifestyle experiences—from local food and travel to fitness and wellness—while also running my charcuterie business. What I find most exciting is connecting with people, whether it’s creating beautiful charcuterie boards, exploring Austin’s food and culture, or giving back through volunteer projects. My brand is all about bringing joy, creativity, and connection to everyday experiences, and right now I’m focused on growing my charcuterie business and sharing more of Austin’s vibrant community through my content.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are consistency, creativity, and the ability to connect with people. Consistency has allowed me to build trust in both my professional role at RPM Living and my entrepreneurial ventures. Creativity has helped me find unique ways to share experiences, whether through content creation or my charcuterie business. And connecting with people—truly listening and understanding others—has been key in building meaningful relationships and collaborations.
For those early in their journey, my advice is to focus on building habits around consistency, explore creative ways to showcase your strengths, and prioritize genuine connections. Seek out opportunities to learn from others, don’t be afraid to experiment, and remember that growth often comes from persistence and authentic engagement.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
One book that’s played an important role in my development is Atomic Habits by James Clear. It reinforced the power of small, consistent actions and how they compound over time, which has been invaluable both in my professional life and personal goals. A few of the most impactful takeaways for me are: focus on building systems rather than just goals, celebrate small wins along the way, and make positive habits easier to start while reducing friction for negative ones. It’s a reminder that lasting growth comes from steady, intentional effort rather than quick fixes.
