Meet Melody Cohn

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Melody Cohn. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Melody, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

Learning the law of attraction. My thoughts, my feelings and actions are always working together. I started meditating and tuning out negative self talk.
Listening to my inner voice. Following my happiness is key.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My art is more than just a visual display—it’s an extension of the light and energy you infuse into all areas of your life. The colorful glitter layers and mirrored glass act as metaphors for the multi-faceted dimensions of your spiritual journey. While my art is on display it doesn’t just sit passively; it captures, reflects, and moves with the energy of the room, creating an interactive experience that mirrors the light that I bring into my spiritual gatherings.

During my healing arts events, where I facilitate meditations, sound healing, drum circles, or reiki my art becomes a tangible representation of the universal energy that I aim to share. As people engage in these healing gatherings, my art enhances the space by adding an extra layer of energy—a layer that cleanses, brightens, sparkles and transforms. The light and movement in my art embodies the same healing forces that are at work in my meditative space with spiritual practices that I facilitate.

You see these gatherings are sacred spaces for transformation, where people not only clear their energy fields but also leave with a sense of rejuvenation, a sparkle. The presence of my art during these events amplifies a sense of renewal, helping to guide people toward the light—both literally and spiritually. The art becomes a beacon of healing, a reflection of the inner work being done, and a reminder of the brilliance that exists within each individual. From my perspective, this is where art and and healing gatherings are woven together, both contributing to the overall sense of peace, clarity, and light that I aim to share with others.

My intentions are to add more radiant light to my community through my art and meditations.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

“I firmly believe in the importance of pursuing one’s vision with both heart and soul. When you commit to what you love, and consistently practice it, you create a pathway for growth and excellence. It’s through this dedication that we can truly harness our potential and bring our unique contributions into the world.

Practicing gratitude for the ability to engage in what I love is vital to my journey. Gratitude serves as a grounding force, reminding me of the joy and fulfillment that comes from creating and sharing my art and healing practices with others. It allows me to remain connected to my purpose and inspires me to continue exploring and expressing my creativity.

For those who are early in their journey, I encourage you not to overthink or overdo. In our fast-paced world, it can be easy to become overwhelmed by expectations and pressures. Instead, I invite you to take a step back and observe the layers of your experiences. This practice of reflection is crucial; it’s in these moments of pause that we can gain clarity.

When you allow yourself to view your journey from a distance, you can identify what’s truly needed in your life or work. This perspective helps to illuminate the path forward, guiding you to make choices that align with your authentic self. By embracing this mindful approach, you create space for your growth to unfold naturally, allowing the beauty of your journey to emerge in its own time.”

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

“My husband is my mentor, and his critical feedback and guidance have been instrumental in my artistic journey. His insights have helped me refine my work and navigate the challenges that come with being an artist.

Creating art is just one facet of the business; there’s so much more that goes into it. From the finishing touches that prepare my pieces for display to saving images in the correct format, every detail matters. Additionally, pricing my work appropriately and promoting it effectively through email and social media are essential steps in reaching a wider audience.

I’ve learned that these aspects are just as crucial as the creative process itself. By integrating these practical elements into my practice, I can ensure that my art not only resonates with viewers but also finds its place in the world. This holistic approach allows me to share my passion with others while growing as an artist and entrepreneur.”
