We were lucky to catch up with Mercedes Blanche recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Mercedes , so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
“You know, people are always going to have something to say—especially when you’re doing something bold, different, or successful etc…. The hate? The doubt? The whispers behind your back? That’s just background noise to a woman with a vision. I didn’t come this far to let someone’s insecurity disguised as ‘advice’ shake me. I know who I am. I know what I bring. And every time they say I can’t, I smile, show up twice as hard, and prove them wrong with grace and glam. Let them talk—you slways shed the people who were not meant to be there for you.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My name is Mercedes Blanche—actress, content creator, and storyteller. My journey began in Budapest, and over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work across continents, including Los Angeles and Canada. My passion lies in bringing characters to life, whether on screen or through digital platforms.
What excites me most about my work is the ability to connect with people worldwide. From roles in series like The Boys, Robyn Hood, and Slumberland , to creating content that resonates on platforms like TikTok and Instagram, I strive to inspire and entertain.
Recently, I’ve been involved in several exciting projects such as producing a 6 times nominee film “Showtime” , worked with PETA , attended several red carpets and participated in a feature for L’Officiel, wonderland and Bazaar’sshowcasing modern elegance . Also launched my first book last year called “ social media is bullshit”
Beyond the screen and social media, I’m passionate about empowering others. Whether it’s through heartfelt performances or candid interviews, my goal is to uplift and inspire .
Looking ahead, I’m eager to continue exploring diverse roles and creating content that challenges and inspires. I’m also exploring collaborations that align with my brand’s ethos of authenticity and empowerment.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Resilience was everything. This industry will test you—rejection, judgment, instability. But I always reminded myself that every ‘no’ is redirection, not rejection. You have to keep showing up, even when it’s hard.
Self-awareness helped me stay grounded. Knowing who I am—what I stand for, what I won’t compromise on—kept me from losing myself in the noise. I took time to understand my brand, my message, and my limits.
Adaptability kept me growing. Whether it was pivoting from modeling into acting, or evolving my content to match a new platform, I never stayed still. The entertainment industry moves fast, and if you can’t evolve, you get left behind.
My advice? Be hungry to learn. Say yes before you’re ready—then figure it out. Study your craft, know your worth, and never let fear of imperfection stop you from starting. And most importantly: protect your energy. The journey is long, so take care of your mind, your body, and your passion.
