Meet Meredith Corning

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Meredith Corning. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Meredith, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Confidence and self-esteem go hand-in-hand with overall good mental health. One must first develop the core belief in one’s self that they can overcome any challenge sent their way. Harnessing emotions is a skill I developed to conquer fears. If something scares me, I will often jump in feet first to test and strengthen my perseverance. Over time, it has allowed me to develop a very niche skill of channeling positive or negative energy into something beautiful. Whether that energy is coming from somewhere internal or being projected onto us by outside forces, the power lies within each of us to decide how to use it. People will try to dim your shine because they are unhappy with themselves. Your internal dialogue trumps all. Nobody knows you the way you know yourself. Always tell the story you know is true and don’t let the cattle get in the way. Truth, good intentions and self-awareness will always lead to a healthy confidence and holding yourself in high esteem. Surrounding yourself with  others who respect themselves enough to care for their own and others’ well being, is a great place to start when seeking these qualities. I would recommend therapy to anyone having a hard time overcoming their fears and emotions that are holding them back from fully embracing their higher self.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My professional background is in sales, marketing, events and PR. I have largely stayed within the entertainment, fashion, beauty and hospitality industries. Throughout my career I have also worked with nonprofits and publications. I am a writer, a professionally-trained dancer and my education is in studio art. I like to say I am equal parts technical and creative. It’s a good mix. I am drawn to working with creative entrepreneurs because it keeps things exciting and I am good at helping them organize their work to showcase in a beautiful, strategic way. The best way to learn more about my agency’s services is to visit our services page at www.meredithcorningpr.com/services.

We have just wrapped up a dinner party that included several of my clients, collaborators and content creators called Dinner on the River. This particular dinner party also had a philanthropic element in the online fundraising realm, which I love. My event company planned the event and the design and now my PR agency is in the midst of landing press and promoting it.

Currently, we are starting to work on a fashion show for my fashion designer client projected for spring 2024. My agency recently added a service in the B2B luxury sales sector and we are working on placing my client’s fashion brands in retail stores throughout the U.S. then hopefully internationally.

I have several secret projects I am working on. People can follow along on my social media accounts at @meredithcorningpr and @meredithevents to stay up-to-date. I work in silence and only announce my wins once they are completed and I have something tangible to show.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The development of soft skills like communicating, thinking critically and learning to lead have been the most impactful on my journey. The advice I would give any young person is to not be afraid of letting people and situations go that no longer serve a purpose in your life. Sentimentality is not logical. Keep it moving.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am always open to new collaborators. For special projects, I am always seeking photographers, models, hair/makeup artists, videographers, fashion designers and publications to work with. I often have the need to feed my creativity, so projects may be a photo shoot, a fashion show, a dinner party, a networking event…etc. For clients, I am currently seeking one new client for 2024 in the medical beauty space. The best way to reach out to me is at my email, meredith (at) meredithcorning (dot) com.
