Meet Meredith Limoges

We were lucky to catch up with Meredith Limoges recently and have shared our conversation below.

Meredith, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

My purpose was revealed in a way that was both unexpected and deeply personal. When I first started my business, I knew I wanted it to be more than just about handbags—I wanted it to make a difference. As I prayed about what cause my business should support, a friend handed me a pamphlet about sex trafficking. In that moment, I knew with absolute clarity that this was the cause I was meant to help.

That calling became my compass. Soon after, I had the opportunity to work with women in Bolivia who had been affected by exploitation. That experience changed me forever. I saw both the depths of suffering and the incredible strength of these women. It confirmed that I was on the right path, using my business as a platform to support their journey toward freedom and healing.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m the co-founder and Freedom Director of Beaudin, an eco-luxe handbag brand that stands out by merging high-end design with purpose. Our bags are handcrafted from upcycled designer materials and luxury leather, offering customers a sustainable, stylish alternative to fast fashion. What sets us apart is our mission—each purchase helps support our nonprofit, Door of Hope, which builds safe havens for women affected by human trafficking.

Beaudin is for women who want more from their fashion choices—luxury with a conscience. Every bag tells a story of renewal, purpose, and impact. We’re excited about our continued growth, expanding our artisan team, and launching new designs while staying true to our core mission of creating beauty and change.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are being a constant learner, having grit, and staying motivated.

Being a constant learner has helped me adapt and grow at every stage. I’ve learned to embrace challenges as opportunities to refine my craft, improve my business, and grow as a leader. For those just starting out, my advice is to stay curious and open to feedback—it’s the fastest way to grow.

Grit has been essential. Building a business isn’t easy, and there are moments when perseverance is what carries you through. Push through the hard days, learn from setbacks, and stay committed to your vision.

Staying motivated is equally important. For me, that comes from remembering my “why”—the mission that drives everything we do at Beaudin. I encourage others to find what truly inspires them and hold onto that, especially when things get tough.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

My mentor, Anna, has been instrumental in helping me grow both personally and professionally. She’s been a constant cheerleader, always encouraging me to dream bigger and expand my vision. When I’ve faced challenges, Anna has helped me see the bigger picture and navigate difficult decisions with wisdom and grace. Her support and guidance have been invaluable throughout my journey.
