We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Meron Tadesse a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Meron , thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.
I would say that my generosity comes from having an abundant mindset. Most people do not know that they can operate with a scarcity mindset or an abundant mindset. Essentially, operating in such a manner that you know that you can get more. There is a concept of having an open hand rather than a closed fist. More will be able to flow through the open hand, meaning the more you give, the more you will receive. I hope that makes sense, lol.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Great question. I help business owners start and maintain their businesses properly, and I help individuals and businesses fight against the IRS whenever they receive a letter in regard to things such as audits, installment plans, tax liens, etc.

What makes my business exciting is working with a variety of businesses. I love learning about new industries, as I have had clients in construction, beauty, media, etc.

I am also working on a new product to offer clients, which is a comprehensive business 101 class. It will cover everything that is covered in our free business checklist. I’m excited about it because I really think it will help business owners in every part of their business.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three qualities that were impactful on my journey were courage, determination, and faith. Courage is essential because following your dreams takes guts. There will be so many people doubting you that you just have to ignore them and go after whatever it is that you want. Determination is important because when going after what you want, there will be obstacles, and you have to be focused on what you have to accomplish no matter what happens. Lastly, faith is vital because you have to have the mindset that you can achieve your goals. Once you have these three qualities, you will be unstoppable.

The best advice I could give is to never give up. The times may get hard, but you can do it. Have faith in yourself.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
When I feel overwhelmed, I start taking things off my plate. Instead of cooking a meal, I will order food delivery. I will also assess things by importance and plan out how I will execute everything based on a reasonable schedule. The last thing I do is something nice for myself, whether it be getting a pedicure or going to the movies, etc.
