Meet Messy Jordan

We were lucky to catch up with Messy Jordan recently and have shared our conversation below.

Messy, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

Finding my purpose wasn’t a lightning bolt moment—it was a series of awakenings. Years ago, I went by Stillamess—a name that reflected where I was mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I was chasing success, but I didn’t fully understand what success meant to me. It wasn’t until I started to slow down, reflect, and get real with myself that I realized: my purpose wasn’t just to perform, it was to transform—myself, my family’s legacy, and anyone who crosses paths with what I create.

When I stepped into Messy Jordan, it wasn’t just a name—it was a rebirth. A declaration that I could take the chaos, the imperfections, and the lessons I’ve lived through and turn them into music, movement, and moments that heal. I’m a DJ, a producer, a pilot, an entrepreneur, a husband, a father—but deeper than that, I’m someone here to create space for others to feel, connect, and elevate.

Whether it’s through my mixes, my brand UHM (Urban House Music), or the wellness retreat I’m building with my wife, everything I do is about helping people return to their truth and freedom. I found my purpose in the mess—and now, I help others find power in theirs.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Right now, I’m focused on expanding UHM into multiple dimensions — including music, branded events, creative collaborations, and innovation at the intersection of music and tech. My mission is to create something timeless, something that can impact lives through frequency, creativity, and presence — whether it’s in a packed venue, on the airwaves, or through upcoming experiences we’re preparing to launch.

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes — from new music and global performances to high-impact brand expansions. I’m excited to bring it all to the world in a way that feels elevated, inspired, and aligned.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, the three qualities that have had the biggest impact on my journey are adaptability, discipline, and curiosity.

1. Adaptability has been key throughout my career—especially in the entertainment world. Whether I’m performing for a crowd that’s not responding or managing last-minute changes to an event, I’ve had to learn how to pivot without losing focus. Being flexible and staying calm under pressure has opened more doors than any one plan ever could.

2. Discipline is what turns talent into progress. Whether it’s showing up early, prepping for a show, or building my brand behind the scenes, it’s the consistent effort that makes the biggest difference over time. Success isn’t just about having skills—it’s about putting them to work every day, even when no one’s watching.

3. Curiosity keeps me from getting stuck or stagnant. I’ve always been drawn to learn new things, experiment creatively, and explore different angles of music, business, and tech. That willingness to ask questions and dive into unfamiliar territory has been a game-changer.

For anyone early in their journey:
Don’t wait for permission to start. Be a student of your craft. Put in the hours, stay open to growth, and don’t be afraid to take a few risks—you’ll learn more from experience than from perfection. Adapt, stay disciplined, and let your curiosity guide you forward.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Absolutely—I’m always open to collaborating with folks who bring passion, creativity, and professionalism to the table. Whether it’s fellow DJs, vocalists, producers, live musicians, event planners, or tech creatives, I’m especially excited to build with people who think outside the box and want to create experiences that truly stand out.

I run multiple radio mix shows, perform live, and operate my own entertainment company—so I’m constantly navigating different lanes. That means I’m looking for collaborators who are serious about their craft, respect the process, and bring good energy. If you’re building something special—whether it’s an event, a track, a brand activation, or something experimental—I want to hear about it.
