Meet Mia Amey

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mia Amey . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Mia , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic from my dad and his side of the family. His father was an entrepreneur & he chose to follow in his footsteps as well as his sister.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a podcaster. I know when you hear that you automatically think drama, 50/50, woman vs. man but I am the total opposite. My podcast focuses on the black community, our culture, love, entrepreneurship, mental health and positivity. I want to show the world that we’re more than the negativity that social media highlights.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The things I’ve gone through has been most impactful in my journey. I’ve experienced heartbreak, I lost my baby and almost felt like I was losing my mind. I chose to keep going. I chose to get help, support and counseling. I chose to be happy. After getting through what I went through made me realize that I have a story to tell and I can talk my people and encourage them to keep going no matter the obstacles.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
Connecting with me is simple. I can be reached via email at chillwithmiathepodcast@gmail.com or on any social media platforms at  Chillwithmiathepodcast. To watch or listen to my podcast you can find me on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcast or The iHeart Radio App at Let’s chill with Mia the Podcast.
