Meet Mia Balventy

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mia Balventy a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Mia, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?

“My generosity comes from the way I was raised. Since I was young, I was taught that life becomes richer when we share—whether it’s time, knowledge, compassion, or opportunities. Growing up, sharing wasn’t just something I did; it was a way of being. Over the years, that value has stayed with me and shaped how I show up in the world. To me, generosity is the quiet intention to uplift others and to contribute to the better version of the world I envision.”

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

“I’m the Founder of Kistemo, a children’s company where I write stories, create cartoons, and develop educational content for kids. I’ve always dreamed of building a special world for children—one that inspires creativity, confidence, and learning. Kistemo is that universe. It also brings together authors, parents, and educators who believe that healthy entertainment and education can truly shape a child’s life.

I also run an initiative called Better World Times, which I’m very passionate about. While Kistemo is focused on kids, Better World Times is for young minds, adults, and professionals from both the art and business worlds. It’s a creative space where people come together to share ideas, create solutions, and imagine a better future. Here, everyone becomes a protagonist in improving their community.

My background blends art, storytelling, and business, and I love bringing those worlds together. Through my personal brand, I support and share projects and stories that reflect this mission—because I truly believe creativity can inspire better thinking, better living, and a better world.”

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

“Looking back, the three qualities that have made the biggest impact on my journey are clarity of vision, intentional planning, and surrounding myself with the right mentors.

First, getting my vision clear was essential. I learned to see the end from the beginning—to imagine what I wanted to build before it even existed. When you can picture it, you can move toward it.

Second, mapping things out helped me stay grounded. Your vision grows as you grow, and along the way it gains color, brightness, and clarity. You don’t need to have every detail perfect—just start where you are and take the next step.

And third, mentorship has been invaluable. Surrounding yourself with people who inspire you, guide you, and challenge you makes the journey lighter and so much richer.

My advice for anyone early in their journey is this: visualize your daily life as if your dream is already real. See it, feel it, dream it. Enjoy the process, because that’s where the growth happens. When you stay consistent with your vision, you eventually find yourself living in it.”

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

“Yes! I’m always looking to partner and collaborate with parents, creators, visionaries of a better world, and talented souls who are active and eager to work together. I love supporting people at any stage—whether you’re just starting out and looking for guidance, or you’re experienced and looking to connect with like-minded collaborators. When I was starting out, I needed this kind of support myself, so I’m happy to be that for others.

If you’re interested in collaborating, you can connect with me through my social media: Facebook, Instagram, X
