Mia Quinn , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
Its 2014 im 24 years old and the Fashion Stylist For the most popular rap artist in the world 50cent
Im literally walking in popularity, prestige , jet setting , private planes , large budgets ,music videos, magazine covers, shows , appearances and a clientele list of some aspiring stylist dreams. I use to say if i died today i’ve lived … who has lived at 24 ? life can change in a moment 2012 was that moment . my 12 year relationship with people who i thought became family abruptly ended and every relationship grown within that time died. I thought because of who I was and who i was attached to it would be an easy transition to another great adventure but God had a different plan. bad choices, bad decisions , a hardened heart , bitterness flowing through my veins, heartbreak after heartbreak. but in between so many success. becoming an active working member for IATSE 764 the local wardrobe union and after a long 3 years of seeking, rejection and trying .I finally became recognized for my hard work and started getting hired . another win with some many hurdles and lost. as i’m working with amazing actors on amazing shows like shes gotta have it, seven seconds I and god father of harlem and high fidelity caring for some of the most amazing actors soaking up all their greatness. gaining wisdom and understanding from amazing people. career thriving while dealing with lost, isolation, depression and times where i thought staying down would allow me to not fall again.if i’m down Ill stay here. why me ?why again and why alone. pandemic happens im forced to sit with God , this time around he picks me up I get back up and stand look myself in the eye, accept christ. the sifting begins im up, a year later the writers strike im down down. the difference this time around i trusted god and he provided and gave me an idea to a means of my purpose . using my testimony and the testimony of other everyday people to inspire, uplift, give me peace a comfort or just spark and idea or plant a seed and my podcast New and In between was birthed . a live journal entry view into the journey of Mia Quinn Maddox sharing how God Has changed my life
i use resilience as a word to describe myself because i’ve been down down and up up but im still here and its all by the grace of God and i know i would be here still going but now i run into the storms and look to fall trusting it will all be for my good

Im also a podcast host to a new baby 2 seasons in and an absolute joy to do. an i dea given to me by god and as it progresses i see how god is working in and through it. I never thought I would be in front of the camera but i guess all the time behind was teaching me how to be in front. i love it cant wait until i get my own talk show
new and in between with Mia Quinn
I am also a aunt to 2 amazing nephews and a cat mom of 2 and a Bowler which is a hobby that is changing my life
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Patience, being Kind, thinking ahead
patience
Practice being patient in every situation, traffic, decisions, waiting for your coffee, when you get a no, under the hair dryer even when its hot outside ,with people , with yourself
if you practice being patient in every area of your life it will come like second nature to wait
thinking ahead , troubleshooting and using past experience to somewhat predict problems and solutions before they occur
best advice i’ve heard if you stay ready you don’t have to get ready
best way to develop or improve this is by planning failures , sometimes things will go wrong and if you already know that, when it happens your not surprised or stressed your able to navigate the situation with a clearer mind
If i know my client is a sloppy eater I will stay away from light colors and if i do have to use them i will make sure I
be Kind to everyone , a simple smile , a thank you , an offer to help with something small , holding the door,
you get more bees with honey than vinegar
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
My confidence in myself I feel Powerful, I feel my own Glow,
I have overcome so many obstacles , rejection , adversity, stepped out on faith, took on a hobby, bowling, not allowing people’s opinion of me to define me, not taking people personally, trusting in God that im living his plan and it will all be for my good .
in the past 12 months , Ive been on a Full Blown Strike, Launched a podcast approaching a season 2 wrap, completed season 5 of FBI most wanted and started season 6 . My Confidence is my biggest area of growth because despite it all I feel Worthy!
