Hi Mica, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
I can remember a time when I had zero optimism. When things didn’t go as I wanted them to, I would get extremely frustrated and stressed out. I would even wonder “why me, what have I done to deserve this?” It wasn’t until I went through a series of unfortunate events in my teenage years that I realized that God has a plan for me and knows when and what is best for me. I now know that the Universe is working every situation out for my greatest and highest good. I would say that my optimism comes from this concept.
You see, I went through a lot of unpleasant situations as a young adult but if I had not gone through those experiences, I would not be who I am today. Every negative situation we go through in life can teach us a lesson. We may not be equipped with the mindset we need to receive what God has planned for us. Sometimes we must go through situations to gain the strength we need to handle what we want.
My optimism also comes from knowing that the energy I put out into the universe creates my reality. By accepting that God has a plan for me and that every setback is an opportunity for growth, I can put out good energy and attract positive things into my life. If we are constantly in a “why me” state of mind instead of a “thank you for this lesson” way of thinking, we will continue to attract negative experiences because we are putting out low energy vibrations.
For me, being optimistic creates a more enjoyable and fulfilling life. My optimism comes from having faith that all things are working for my good and that God has a plan for me. Negative experiences and setbacks are a part of life that can not be avoided. When we shift our perception to receive the lessons that life teaches us and know that nothing is happening to us, but for us, magic starts to happen in our lives!
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am the founder and CEO of Cosmic Rise Healing Boutique which is an online metaphysical shop that offers crystals, crystal jewelry, essential oils, books, cards and other natural spiritual healing items at an affordable price. We also offer virtual services, do pop-up shops, and provide services and teachings at events. The thing that excites me most about the business is our mission and inclusiveness.
Our mission is to make sure that we keep our prices affordable so that more people can benefit from the natural healing gifts that we have been blessed with. Working with these gifts raises our vibration and in doing so we raise the vibration of the earth. Energy is very real and if one person has a higher vibration it helps to raise those around them.
No matter where someone is from or what their beliefs are they are welcome at Cosmic Rise. We strive to be inclusive of all people from all different walks of life because we know that it can sometimes be difficult to find a place that you feel welcome and understood when you are on your spiritual journey.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Because we are a spiritual based business, I had a lot of fears of judgement before starting my business. The best advice that I can give on this is that if you are passionate about something go for it! Once I got over my fear I found that there was no judgement and I was finally doing something that was fulfilling to me.
I also had to cut down on some of the things that took up my time to make space for my business. When I first started I did not realize how much time it would take away from me. Running a business is a lot of work that’s why it is important for you to do something you are passionate about. Being organized and having a weekly plan of action is key!
Lastly, I had to walk away from a second job that was no longer aligned with me. Though this was not my full time job, I had invested a lot of time and effort that I did not want to go to waste. It took me a while but once I was able to let go it made space for me to work on my business and make it more successful. If something is holding you back or you feel overwhelmed, try cutting down your task or take a break from some task and you will know what you need to let go of.
