Meet Micaela Cae” Thomas”

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Micaela “Cae” Thomas a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Micaela “Cae”, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
This was definitely more of a challenge than what I initially thought it would be. When you’re in a space, or attempting to step into a space where you are servicing or entertaining a multitude of people, it becomes difficult to stay true to your ‘why’. Your thoughts begin to become clouded with the needs and wants of others instead of WHY you started your journey in the first place.

Finding humble ground is what has helped me. Staying true to WHO I am before who others may think I am, staying true to WHY I began my influencer journey in the first place and not just what others want from me. I had to double down and believe in my skills, my talents and most importantly ME!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a social media influencer and content creator for Mothers of large families. Having a large family, myself, of 11 children, I am more than acclimated to the life of parenting and all of it’s territories. However, my content isn’t just about how to successfully budget a large family or any grocery shopping hacks. I highlight and touch base on a lot of topics that most wouldn’t think goes into parenting a large family and it all surrounds me and my life, my choices, past, present and future.

It’s extremely exciting to share certain aspects of myself, my parenting and my family with others. Just knowing that this isn’t just therapy for me, but potentially therapy for someone else as well. As we continue to create, we will continue to expand with more for our viewers to experience.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three most impactful qualities in this journey have been my resilience & persistence, it’s been having humility & the need for continuous learning and MOST importantly, having authenticity and relatability with my viewers.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
My biggest area of growth has been being able to step into a space of vulnerability regarding my journey and what I share with others. It’s hard enough as is to be seen in a public light and face judgements. Let alone to ‘let it all hang out’ and amplify the criticisms and backlash. But I’m privileged to take the good with the bad. It’s all about balance.
