Meet Michael Betzner

We were lucky to catch up with Michael Betzner recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Michael , thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
I find my optimism comes from the belief that everything happens for a reason. And everything will work out the way it’s supposed to. I work hard and strive for certain goals but if that’s not meant for me the universe will point me in a new direction. And that’s ok with me

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a creative photographer and content creator. I take sessions that are normally kind of generic and simple and turn them into really unique and artistic versions of what my clients ask. I love showing the reality of what bodies and humans look like and surrounding that in beautiful florals or unique locations. I film my process and show how I create the images I do. It’s super fun and I’m so grateful for my career.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities, skills, or knowledge that push me through and help me grow in popularity and success… I think one of the main things is knowing that I don’t know everything. I’m always open to learning more and asking questions and then sharing what I learn. It’s always so important to be able to say “I don’t know but let me learn. Show me.”
I also think me being a pretty positive person has impacted my success. I talk openly about the struggles that I go through and just share my thoughts and feelings. Being open, honest, and positive is a way that I connect with new people.
Which kind of leads into my final quality that I think connects me with my audience and helps my success. I am super open about my life and struggles. I openly share about my divorce, my financial struggles, and my personal life.. it’s just something I think is important.. to show people that they’re not alone when struggling. And it also helps me feel less alone.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
The biggest struggle I’m facing right now is the rising taxes in the US. The first time in my life that I owe over 10k in taxes. (I currently owe 20k) and I didn’t expect it to be that much. Haha it’s definitely something I think needs to be talked about more so other small business owners can be more prepared.
