Meet Michael Jacques

We were lucky to catch up with Michael Jacques recently and have shared our conversation below.

Michael, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?

Knowledge that we are all in this together. That helping others costs me little. To do something for someone else because I “can” versus have too. That if you plant seeds of light they come back to you tenfold.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I teach the Arts because I believe in the Arts.

With so very little quality options for Artists to choose from, I made it my mission to offer the best possible education in Acting and music. I’ve created a community comprised of people who love arts and work as professionals in their craft.

I’ve launched hundreds of careers and am so proud of the people I trained. In a World of mediocrity, it’s wonderful to coach so many dedicated professionals.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Education.
Personal Responsibility.
Dedication and guts (character).

I know that 4, but I really couldn’t give just three replies.

For newbs… take the long game approach to all things. NOTHING happens overnight, and yes there are always those that “win the lottery” but they are as rare as a four leaf clover. Whereas, if one plays the long game with integrity, honor, dedication, they’ll achieve some sense of destiny.

We all only have what we have. Each day is a gift, so use it wisely.
