Meet Michael Keith

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Michael Keith . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Michael, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
The beginning of my confidence came from Martial Arts (Muay Thai) which I have been training for 17 years now. More confidence was added when i joined a leadership course that focused on emotional Intelligence.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
My name is Michael Keith and I am the owner of Cal Coast Pest Management. It is a local company that has been in business for 5 years starting October 2018 to now. I wear many hats so part of my responsibilities is making sure that the company is running as smooth as possible to be in excellence with how we show up mentally, physically and spiritually so that we can provide great service. What is most exciting about my position is seeing all of our team members create value with solving issues that is difficult for most people to deal with which is bugs. We have and will continue to take classes from best school and entomologist in the industry so that we can us what we have learned to understand pest behavior and ways to achieve the results of best pest prevention for our clients.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
One would be having a understanding with my emotions and making decisions based of off clarity and understanding on specific situations. Second would be having years of experience in the industry and using trail and error that was made in the past and use it in a sense of learning and improving. Third would be having a mind set of a leader with be, do, have mentality.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
The biggest support that I have received was with the owner of Cloak and Pedal Cesar Vallin. He led me in a direction with the intention of growing my business. From reading the P&L, setting up S.O.P for the company, asking questions with the intention of learning and just leading his ear when I was going through difficult times in business and internally. Also want to acknowledge my team member Jackie Contreas. She has given me a gift which has been extremely eye opening through my personal development which is acceptancing my authenticity and how much it had a positive impact on so many people around me. She also reminded me of the importance of having a personal relationship with God which has been absent for me for so many years.
