Meet Míchelle Annalèise Coles

We recently connected with Míchelle Annalèise Coles and have shared our conversation below.

Míchelle Annalèise, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I found my purpose in the quiet lessons my grandmother taught me—not through lectures, but through how she lived. She was the kind of woman who made everyone feel seen. She gave without keeping score, listened without judgment, and carried herself with grace, even when life wasn’t kind. Growing up under her roof, I watched her pour love into people who felt empty. She made broken feel beautiful and reminded everyone that they mattered.

When she passed in 2010, I felt lost—but her spirit stayed with me. And over time, I realized that the very essence of who she was lived in me. I started helping people the way she did—through words, through healing, through simply showing up. That’s when I knew: my purpose wasn’t about being perfect—it was about being present. Helping others rise, even while I was still learning how to stand tall myself. That’s where I found it. In her legacy. In love.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’m Míchelle Annalèise Coles—author, certified relationship coach, and founder of Annaleise Affirms LLC. My work is all about helping people heal, grow, and reconnect with who they truly are. I coach individuals and couples through the highs and lows of love, communication breakdowns, emotional disconnection, and everything in between.

At the heart of it all is self-love. Because real change—whether in your relationship or your life—starts with how you see and show up for yourself. I help clients do the inner work: building confidence, setting boundaries, and letting go of the stories that no longer serve them.

What I love most about this work is holding space for real conversations—the kind that spark clarity, healing, and change. Whether someone’s navigating self-doubt, trying to rebuild a relationship, or just tired of repeating the same patterns, I help them step into their truth and power.

My brand was born from personal experience. I know what it’s like to feel stuck, unseen, or unsure of your next move. That’s why I wrote my book, Unapologetically You: The Path to Unshakable Self-Love. It’s not just a guide—it’s a reflection of everything I’ve learned about self-worth, boundaries, and choosing yourself without apology.

Right now, I’m expanding in some exciting ways—more coaching sessions, editorial features, speaking events, and new offerings that center around emotional wellness, healthy love, and radical self-acceptance. This isn’t just a business—it’s a space for growth, truth, and becoming the version of yourself you’ve always deserved to be.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three things that really shaped my journey were emotional resilience, self-awareness, and learning how to communicate with honesty and heart.

Emotional resilience helped me keep going when things got rough. There were times I wanted to quit, times I didn’t see the point—but I kept showing up for myself anyway. That kind of strength isn’t about being tough all the time—it’s about bouncing back, even when you’re tired.

Self-awareness changed everything for me. The more I learned to really see myself—my patterns, my triggers, my truth—the more I was able to grow. It’s not always easy looking in the mirror, but it’s necessary.

Communication was the biggest game-changer. Whether it’s in love, business, or just everyday life, being able to express yourself clearly and listen without getting defensive makes all the difference. It’s how real healing and connection happens.

If you’re just starting your journey, my advice is this: give yourself time. Don’t rush the process. Stay honest, stay open, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. These three things will grow with you if you let them—and they’ll carry you further than you think.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?

One of the biggest challenges I’m currently navigating is balancing expansion with intention. As a relationship coach, author, and full-time professional, I’m in a season of growth—and with that comes the need to be even more mindful about where my energy goes.

It’s not about doing more, it’s about doing what matters most. I’ve learned that saying no is a form of self-care, and discipline is the highest form of self-love. I’ve had to reevaluate what truly aligns with my purpose and release what doesn’t—whether that’s outdated habits, distractions, or expectations that no longer serve me.

To overcome this, I stay rooted in my own practices: daily affirmations, reflection, boundaries, and checking in with myself regularly. I also surround myself with people and environments that match the version of me I’m becoming—not the one I’ve outgrown.

This chapter is about alignment over hustle, clarity over chaos, and showing up as the version of myself I used to pray for.
