Meet Michelle Marie King

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Michelle Marie King. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Michelle Marie below.

Michelle Marie , thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

My optimism comes from my unwavering belief in human potential and the power of mentorship to change lives. I’ve witnessed firsthand how a single connection, a guiding voice, or a moment of support can be the difference between someone feeling lost and someone finding their purpose.

As the founder of Positive Presence Global, my mission has always been to empower teens and young adults to rise above their struggles and embrace their fullest selves. That mission is deeply personal—I’ve navigated my own challenges, moments of self-doubt, and times when the path ahead seemed uncertain. But through it all, I’ve learned that optimism isn’t just about seeing the good in life; it’s about creating it. It’s about choosing to believe that growth is always possible, that resilience is built in the face of adversity, and that even in the darkest moments, there is light to be found.

This belief fuels everything I do—whether it’s expanding the reach of our mentorship programs, launching new initiatives like our nonprofit arm, or working to eradicate teen suicide globally. Optimism is the foundation of my leadership, my coaching philosophy, and the legacy I hope to leave behind. It’s not just a mindset; it’s a movement.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

Empowering Lives Through Mentorship & Optimism

My journey as an entrepreneur has always been driven by a deep commitment to transformation—both in myself and in the lives of those I serve. I am the founder and CEO of Positive Presence Global, the largest life coaching company for teens and young adults nationwide. Our mission is clear: to provide life-changing mentorship that empowers young people to embrace their potential, build resilience, and thrive.

What makes Positive Presence so special is that we don’t just coach—we mentor, uplift, and walk alongside our students in their journeys. We believe that deep, meaningful conversations and trusted relationships are the key to guiding young people through life’s challenges. Our certified Mentor-Coaches™ are trained to listen, support, and empower, rather than lecture or prescribe solutions.

This year is an exciting time for Positive Presence Global, as we expand our in-person footprint across the country. We recently opened our corporate headquarters and first in-person coaching center in Minnesota, and we are now growing into key markets, including Arizona, San Diego, Los Angeles, Utah, and Colorado. In addition, we are preparing for international expansion into Canada in early 2026—a huge step toward making Positive Presence a global movement for mentorship and personal growth.

In addition to our work with teens and young adults, we’ve expanded our impact with Positive Family Solutions, a comprehensive family coaching initiative designed to help parents and caregivers navigate the challenges of raising resilient, emotionally intelligent, and confident children. This program provides one-on-one and group coaching for parents, equipping them with tools to strengthen family bonds, improve communication, and create a positive, growth-focused home environment. We believe that supporting families as a whole is just as important as mentoring the individuals within them, and Positive Family Solutions is our way of ensuring that every child has a strong foundation of love, support, and understanding at home.

As we continue expanding Positive Presence Global, Positive Family Solutions, and our nationwide coaching initiatives, we remain laser-focused on our ultimate mission: to eradicate teenage suicide globally by 2035. Every aspect of our work—from providing trusted mentorship to teens, supporting families, opening new coaching centers, launching international expansions, and developing accessible personal growth tools—is strategically aligned to this goal. We believe that by providing unwavering support, guidance, and hope to young people and their families, we can create a world where no teen feels alone in their struggles.

This is more than just a business—it’s a movement, a legacy, and a purpose-driven revolution in mental and emotional well-being. I invite anyone looking for mentorship, community, or a way to make a difference to join us. Together, we can create a future where every teen feels seen, heard, and empowered to live the life they deserve.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three Most Important Qualities, Skills, and Areas of Knowledge

Looking back, there are three core qualities that have been most impactful in my journey as an entrepreneur and leader: Resilient Optimism, Purpose-Driven Leadership, and Relationship Building.

1. Resilient Optimism
Optimism is at the heart of everything I do—but not the kind that simply hopes for the best. Resilient optimism is about choosing to believe in possibilities even when faced with setbacks, failures, or doubts. It’s about finding solutions, adapting, and pushing forward with purpose.

Advice: Challenges will come, and doubt will creep in. The key is to train your mind to reframe obstacles as opportunities. Surround yourself with people who uplift you, practice gratitude daily, and develop the habit of asking: “What can I learn from this?” instead of “Why is this happening to me?”

2. Purpose-Driven Leadership
I have always led with a clear mission: to eradicate teenage suicide globally by 2035. That purpose fuels every decision I make, from expanding Positive Presence Global to launching new brands like Positive Family Solutions. When your leadership is anchored in something bigger than yourself, it creates impact, inspires others, and sustains you through difficult moments.

Advice: Find your “why” early. What drives you beyond success or financial gain? Write it down, revisit it often, and let it guide your actions. The more clarity you have around your purpose, the easier it will be to navigate challenges and make aligned decisions.

3. Relationship Building & Authentic Connection
The success of my businesses has not come from sales tactics or traditional marketing —it has come from building deep, meaningful relationships with people who align with our mission. Whether it’s our mentors, students, families, partners, or team members, relationships have been the foundation of every opportunity and expansion.

Advice: Invest in people. Be genuine, listen actively, and always provide value before asking for anything in return. Focus on building trust and connection, and opportunities will naturally follow.

Final Thought:
For anyone early in their journey, the best thing you can do is commit to growth—personally, professionally, and spiritually. Success isn’t about knowing everything upfront; it’s about being willing to learn, evolve, and lead with purpose.
