We were lucky to catch up with Michelle Mumoli recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Michelle with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My parents definitely instilled in me my work ethic. They were immigrants who came to the US for a better life from their respective countries, and they worked effortlessly to build their American dream of home ownership.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I basically grew up in real estate, my parents owned multi-family homes in Newark and it was a family operation to manage them and service them when tenants turned-over, it was all hands on deck. But I decided early on to pursue a career in the arts. I was a filmmaker, artist/curator and was part of a successful craft fair producer before I decided to pursue real estate as a licensed full-time career.
For 10 years now, i’ve poured my soul into helping my clients create generational wealth thru buying, selling, investing, building new construction and converting properties into condos. Right now, i’m focused on continuing this path and working with semi-retired or pre-retired agents, in continuing their financials paths through legacy business planning. Real estate agents who have a successful book of business, often cannot move to another state, snowbird or even consider retiring with continued residual income for the rest of their lives, I want to help with that!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Learning is a lifelong journey. Clear thorough communication, creative problem solving, thinking independently and being resourceful are skills you need before you can even consider getting a license. My advise is to be tenacious and gritty, i’ve noticed 90% of people in any field lack these basic skills.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Yes. I am always building connections and networking, it’s a crucial part of my job. I’m looking for successful realtors who want to continue to grow financially post retirement in Northern NJ and investors & builders who want to work with a professional that is results driven. Let’s chat!
