Meet Michelle Munoz

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Michelle Munoz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Michelle, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?

I carry the strength of the women who came before me a lineage of love, loyalty, and quiet power. From them, I learned that resilience doesn’t always look loud; sometimes, it’s simply continuing on with grace, heart, and faith, no matter what comes.

My life has not been without pain. Growing up, I faced challenges that weighed heavily on my heart and mind. One of the most defining losses of my life was losing my grandfather my safe space, my protector, the one who loved me without conditions. Grieving that loss felt unbearable. I didn’t know how to navigate that kind of sadness, and in time, it hardened into anger.

But healing found its way in. I sought guidance and learned to sit with my emotions instead of hiding from them. I realized that my ability to love so deeply wasn’t a weakness it was my superpower. That kind of love is fierce, protective, and pure. Even when I didn’t express it perfectly, the intention was always to shield those I care for.

Through every dark season, I’ve held onto the truth that the light always returns. My faith in God has been my compass the steady foundation under every step I take.

Now, as an entrepreneur and mother, I face new challenges that test me in different ways. It can feel heavy at times, mentally and emotionally. But I am reminded of who I come from. I’m reminded of my grandfather’s pride, of the strong women who carved the path before me, and of the divine calling to follow my dreams.

I am resilient not because I have never fallen, but because I rise every time rooted in love, guided by faith, and inspired by legacy.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m the owner of Mindbodyesthetics, a skincare studio in New Jersey that blends results-driven treatments with a focus on total relaxation. I specialize in sculpting facials, buccal massage, lymphatic drainage, and natural techniques that help bring out your skin’s best while also helping you unwind and reset.

As a mom and business owner, I’ve learned that balance doesn’t mean doing it all it means doing what matters with heart. That’s what I bring to every client experience.

My approach is all about simplicity, consistency, and care. Whether you’re coming in for a facial to target skin concerns or just need a quiet space to breathe and recharge, my goal is to make sure you leave feeling refreshed not only in your skin but in your mindset, too.

I’m really excited about what’s ahead! I’m moving into a brand new location that reflects everything Mindbodyesthetics stands for a calm, welcoming environment where clients can fully relax and focus on themselves. The new space is designed with intention and comfort in mind, and I can’t wait to welcome everyone in.

I’m also launching my most-requested educational classes soon. This has been something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, and I finally feel ready to share more of what I’ve learned from facial techniques to client experience. Helping others grow in this industry and feel more confident in their work is something I’m really passionate about.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are emotional intelligence, a deep commitment to growth, and the resilience that comes from being a mompreneur. I’ve learned how important it is to really understand people to create an environment where clients feel seen, supported, and truly relaxed. That emotional awareness has helped me build strong, lasting relationships. I’m also constantly investing in my education and evolving my approach whether it’s learning new techniques or deepening my understanding of the body and skin. Lastly, balancing motherhood with running a business has taught me how to stay flexible, focused, and grounded in what really matters. It’s not always easy, but it’s been incredibly rewarding.

My advice to someone early in their journey would be:
Always follow what you’re truly passionate about and never lose sight of your “why.” Your passion will carry you through even the toughest days. Stay teachable there’s always room to grow, no matter how experienced you become. The journey isn’t always easy, but it’s the support system you build and the determination to keep your bigger vision in focus that will help you power through. Stay grounded, stay learning, and trust the process.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

The most impactful influence in my life has been my mother.

She was a single mom who raised me on her own, and through it all, she taught me strength. But more than anything, she’s been my biggest support system not just in my personal life, but now in my business, too. The most powerful thing she did for me was always encourage me to follow my dreams, no matter how big or small. She never made me feel like my goals were out of reach. She’s always believed in me, even in my moments of doubt, reminding me why I started and giving me the courage to keep going. I owe so much of my drive and hard work to her. She’s been my constant source of inspiration, and I’m so grateful to have her by my side.
