We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Miguel Trinidad a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Miguel with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I get my work ethic for my father. My dad was a butcher so he got up at 3:30 in the morning to be at work by 4:30. He was off by 1:00 PM and then would go and work at a furniture store delivering furniture this is back in the 70s. It’s always been an inspiration to me in terms of his work ethic. He’s never been afraid of the long hours. He’s never been afraid of the hard work.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I have been in the restaurant in the street from the age of 17. I have open many restaurants for other people and have opened a few of my own. The word can’t not something that sits well with me I believe that would enough effort you can accomplish anything. I said to Filipino restaurants and recently an Italian restaurant. I have consulted in the food and beverage space for over a decade. I started a cannabis, fine dining business specializing in microdose, I have created experiences for people in the cannabis space to educate and de-stigmatize The voodoo behind the plant. If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, the things That had the most impact in my career our technique, Curiosity, Communication and humility. My advice to anybody who’s beginning their journey is to respect the craft. Respect the people who are here before you. Don’t be afraid to fail. It’s the only way you’re gonna learn and get better.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
One of the most impactful books that I have ever read is Sid arthur. It really touched on what ones individual journey is
