We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mikayla Bishop a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Mikayla, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?

You have to have the mentality to only look out for yourself. On top of this, the people who love you outweigh the people who hate. No matter what you do, people are either gonna love or hate it. If you continuously try to satisfy the people who hate, it will never end because truthfully they will still find something to hate. So do things with the intentions of helping yourself. After all, no one knows you better than yourself so you must protect that at all costs!

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am 26 years old. Growing up I’ve always known that I would have a social media presence. I have done video editing/photography since I was 15! This is really helpful because I am a content creator! On social media; TikTok, IG, Youtube, etc. ! I do have several talents which consist of singing, dancing, drawing. I feel it all comes together as a package for a social media presence.
My main source of income comes from OnlyFans. OnlyFans has personally changed my life for the better. I know that may sound crazy, but it opened so many new doors for me in social media, modeling, and pursuing my talents. I also do Twitch. I personally love live-streaming and connecting with people in real time. On top of that, I LOVE gaming! So getting to do both is a win-win!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Confidence, patience, and unwavering determination.
With what I do, you NEED confidence. People will criticize and knit-pick every single thing you do. You just have to learn to remain confident the entire time. Patience because it isn’t something that can happen overnight. You need to keep doing what you do and not get upset if it’s going at a slow pace. Unwavering determination because you have to create/post daily, keep pushing, and never give up.
My advice is to do things for yourself, don’t do it to appeal to people and become something you’re not! Consistency is key.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
