Meet Mike Campbell

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mike Campbell a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Mike , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I have this sickening work ethic, that’s because I’m hellbent on not failing. I’m always the first one on set and always the first to leave why, so I can focus and immerse myself in my art. There’s no work in doing what you love only finding new ways to elevate and become the best actor within myself that I can possibly be.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

By my own volition. As I immerse myself more and more in my art, I am drawn closer to that stage. The beautiful part about the world of theater and film and the magic of storytelling is we have the power to shift paradigm, change hearts and sensibilities.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The most impactful qualities are my ability to observe and absorb the brilliance that those who have come before and are of the same generation as me put forth into the world. My ability to take all that in and use that as fuel for growth in me and my art has had the most impactful. The best advice that I have is don’t get it right get it true cause without commitment, you’ll never start, but more importantly, without consistency, you’ll never finish. Prove yourself to being an actor of definite and sincere worth and whatever eloquence the heart can call upon.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I would love to collaborate with other actors, producers, directors. As one should surround themselves with those who are on the same mission as you but also who the art collectively as you do. I would though love to do a movie with Ella Balinska, Vanessa Hudgens and of course the GOAT Denzel Washington. They all inspire me everyday and I love their work.
