Meet Mike Howard

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Mike Howard. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Mike below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Mike with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I get my work ethic from my parents. My stepdad is an entrepreneur who raised me and I grew up watching what it takes to build and grow something from the ground up. That drive and persistence rubbed off on me in a big way. My mom had me at a young age and I saw her sacrifice and push through challenges that most people would have crumbled under. Watching both of them taught me that excuses don’t get you anywhere. Now as a husband and father I want my kids to see that same example every day just like I did.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m the Founder and CEO of Jetsetter Charter Jet Service. We connect clients with private aircraft anywhere in the world and handle every detail so their travel is seamless. What excites me most is taking something that’s often seen as intimidating or out of reach and making it accessible. We don’t just sell flights. We create experiences. Whether that’s getting a family to their vacation on time or helping a business leader maximize their day by cutting hours out of travel.

What makes Jetsetter special is the personal touch. We’ve grown to a network of over 5000 aircraft worldwide in just six years, but I still treat every trip like it’s for my own family. Clients have my direct line and know they’ll be taken care of start to finish.

Looking ahead, we’re expanding our presence and doubling down on creating a brand people instantly recognize in the private aviation space. We recently celebrated our six year anniversary. We’re building toward being niche-famous as the go-to brokerage for on-demand charters. That means more partnerships, more visibility, and continuing to raise the bar on service.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back, three things really stand out as being most impactful in my journey. The first is resilience. Business will test you over and over, and you have to be willing to push through setbacks without losing momentum. The second is relationship-building. Aviation is a people business at its core, and being able to connect, build trust, and follow through consistently has been the foundation of Jetsetter’s growth. The third is vision. You have to see the bigger picture even when the day-to-day is messy, because that long-term focus is what keeps you moving forward.

For anyone just getting started, my advice is simple. Don’t shy away from challenges because those are what sharpen your resilience. Surround yourself with the right people, mentors, and peers who push you to level up, because strong relationships open doors you can’t open alone. And finally, take the time to clarify your vision. Write it down, revisit it often, and let it guide your decisions. If you can build those three things—resilience, relationships, and vision—you’ll be way ahead of the game.

How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?

If I only had a decade left, I would spend as much of it as possible with my wife and kids. Coaching my son’s sports, cheering on my daughter, and being present for all the little moments that make childhood special. Those memories and lessons are what I want them to carry with them forever.

At the same time, I would continue building Jetsetter. Not just for me, but because in a decade it could be something my son steps into and carries forward. I want him to see what is possible when you work hard, stay consistent, and build something that lasts. Jetsetter would become a legacy piece, proof that discipline and vision create opportunities for the next generation.

Family would be at the center, and Jetsetter would be the foundation I would leave behind for them. That is how I would spend that decade, fully present at home while laying the groundwork for my kids’ future.
